The stars played hide and seek with the moon beyond the clouds from the window of Randy's beat-up Chevy impala. (Y/n) grew nervous tucking some strands of hair behind her ear, thinking–praying for some topic to emerge at the top of her noggin to say to Randy. The boy had been awfully quiet besides the brief conversation they had when he picked her up. (Y/n) thought she did a good job with the three hours she had to get ready, she even applied a little bit of makeup to enhance her eyelashes and full lips with a little shine. It was worth it in her books, the male seemed to short-circuit with her appearance, and she had never seen the boy so red.

So if it wasn't the way she looked, then why wasn't he speaking to her?

Maybe he's nervous too?

It was a shame really, the girl wanted him to make the first move on her like he did earlier at Blockbuster. She didn't like expressing herself first in case she got shot down, but Randy was going to keep his eyes on the road against her desires, so she had no choice.

"What movies did you bring, Ran? Any that'll make the crowd pee their pants?" It was only after (Y/n) spoke did she cringed at how sweet her voice sounded at the moment. Was this her voice when flirting? She needed to work on that.

"Huh?" The boy's eyes moved over to her then quickly went back on the road nervously, his fingers twitching on the wheel.

"The movie you brought for the party?" The girl repeats softly, "Y-you know you were asked to bring movies to entertain everyone! I know you do a good job, they rehired you at Blockbuster for a reason, they can't get rid of their favorite employee that easily."

The girl felt her face grow warm. She was rambling without reason at this point. Glancing at the boy next to her, (Y/N) expected a laugh or possibly a smart retort. A frown quickly made its way onto her lips whilst witnessing the brunet male purse his lips in deep thought.

"Something wrong Randy?"

The male jumped slightly before shaking his head, "No! No! I was just..." he trailed off looking at the girl in the front seat in worry about the events from earlier that evening plaguing his mind on loop. Randy was many things, but he didn't consider himself a fool.

The male had taken Billy and Stu's warning seriously. He'd been thinking about the past couple of days– months he was around the two males and their sudden display of attraction towards (Y/N) made him weary. Especially Billy, who was now on the police's radar for possibly being a murder suspect.

Simplicity. Simplicity is what fuels the drive for murder in the first place; Affair, money, humiliation, anger, jealousy, etc.

Hence why it shouldn't give Billy too much reason to leave his body in a ditch on the outskirts of Woodsboro without deeper meaning. If Randy was to take things further with his crush on the way to the party it was good enough reason for him to stop breathing within the other male's grasp.
