Chapter 3: Air

Heather told me that she had a surprise for me but she wanted to tell me in the morning, so I almost couldn't sleep. When she woke up I was already up. She looked at me and she notice the excited look in my face. She stood up and went to a little chest in her dresser and pulled out a little card, it seemed like an index card but a smaller. She hid it behind her and said "Bea you're my best friend and I know how much you love these people" she kept talking and when she was done she took the thing out of her pocket and it was a ticket. I looked at her confused and she said "You are going to the 'Show Of The Summer' Concert with me" I freaked out but for a second I didn't believe her, but then she looked at me with an excited look on her face I started to jump around the room and she joined me. After one minute of jumping up and down something hit me, so I stopped jumping. I said to her "Heather, Monica (the foster home advisor) would never ever let me go. I had to sneak out just to go to the carnival at school. Even when I'm going to your house I have to get her to sign a paper so I can just leave". Heather looked at me and said "How about if you..." Before she could finish I interrupted and said "Heather, I don't think I could sneak out again" Heather then said "I was going to say you can say your going to go to a... Yeah I got nothing. How about if you ask Shelby to cover for you?" I smiled and said "That could work, but I don't know Shelby is still really mad because I got her in trouble but I'll try". Heather's mom called from downstairs and said "Girls, go brush you teeth and come downstairs, breakfast it's almost done" we brushed our teeth and went downstairs. We finished eating and I left to go "home".
