Morning came too soon. I didn't get much sleep when I finally got out of bed. I realized Kuroko had texted and called me, and I'm late for practice. I got dressed in a hurry and threw on my shoes when I opened the door. Kuroko was standing right outside.
"Morning," said Kuroko.
"Morning, why aren't you at practice already? We're late," I say.
"You're late. I asked the couch if I could go fine you," said Kuroko.
"Sorry, I forgot to set an alarm, so I slept in," I say I should've said I didn't sleep all night because I was thinking of you.
"Let's get to practice," I say, trying not to think of anything else.
