Bergen Town looked miserable. Gray clouds covered the sky and and  bergens were everywhere, clearly too depressed to see the trolls.
So they scurried inside the castle and hid in the wall sconces.

Then Poppy saw some familiar shapes.

" Viva." Poppy tugged at her sister's shoulder." Look."

The trolls were being carried by a bergen with light pink hair in what looked like a bird cage.

" Let's follow them."

....

Poppy, Branch Clay, and Viva followed the bergen down a spiral staircase, which led to a kitchen.

The bergen set the trolls on a table and dived into her bed.

When they were sure she was sound asleep, they quietly crept over to the cage, but the captured trolls wouldn't be that quiet.

They began singing quite loudly.

" CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES CMON!"

The four trolls immediately shushed them, and they quickly apologized.

Poppy took a pair of scissors from her hair and jimmed open the lock.

" Are you guys okay?"

" We're fine," Smidge said." Not like Creek."

" What happened?" Branch asked.

" They ate him!" Dj Suki exclaimed.

" In a taco." Biggie added.

Clay and Viva shuddered at the thought of such a death. Trolls were, of course, eaten in a multitude of ways but a taco?

That's awful.

Poppy and Branch, on the other hand, didn't even notice Creek was taken, and they never gave a shit about him anyways, so who cares?

But as they tried to leave ,the bergen woke up.

Immediately, Viva broke a window, lowered her hair down, and gestured for everyone to go outside.

" Go! GO!" She shouted.

One by one, the trolls went down while the bergen was trying to catch them. Luckily, Branch Clay  and Poppy managed to keep her busy.

Then...

" Iget! What's all that noise?"

'That voice... It had to be the chef,' Viva thought.

" Oh-oh, nothing chef!" The bergen stammered." I was just cleaning the pots and pans, and some fell."

" Oh, well, while you're doing that, clean these."

Then, seemingly out of nowhere, what looked like millions of dishes fell on top of the bergen.

" You need to clean those for Trollstice. The king is inviting everyone except you."

Then, when the chef left, the bergen burst into tears, and Poppy couldn't help but feel sympathy for the giant.

" Poppy," Branch whispered." Sweetie, we gotta go."

But Poppy wouldn't move. She felt terrible for the bergen, but they had to go.

So Branch did the logical thing and carried Poppy over his shoulder.

Normally, Poppy would've fought back, but this time, she felt too sad to.

. . . .

Poppy and Branch met up with the other trolls shortly and went on their way home.

" Poppy, " Branch said." Something's bothering you, isn't it?"
