It's been a few days since the midterms have ended. As expected, the students were looking a lot more relieved as they slowly adjusted themselves to their previous lifestyle since study groups were disbanded, at least for now.
Naturally, I was also feeling quite happy, not because that the midterms have ended but because of the fact that I have gained 2 allies i.e. Ayanokoji and Horikita.
Cherry on the top, my classmates hostility has been dropped drastically when they were informed of the fact that I was the one, alongside Horikita, who was responsible for the cancellation of Sudou's expulsion.
For some reason, Ayanokoji decided not to take credit for this. Must have been because of his weird ideology of 'avoiding trouble and spotlight and something something'. Strange guy. Well, who am I to complain?
There were still some students who hated me but I can sense that their opinion regarding me is changing a bit by bit, especially when they saw Hirata thanking me and Horikita for saving Sudou.
Things are changing for the better for me and I felt exhilarated when I think about it.....but I wasn't aware of the fact that their opinion regarding me would soon turn 180 in the near future.
Right now, I was walking alongside my best friend Hiyori, a student from class C, while chatting about random things and laughing cheerfully. It has been 10 minutes since the school was over as students could be seen leaving the school.

Hiyori: You are so funny Mano. I wonder how you can come up with these quick witted jokes.

Hiyori: Whatever the reason, I can't help but be a bit envious of this skill of yours.
