I was sitting in my room, the view pointing out to New York City. I was listening to "A drop in the ocean" by Ron Pope while wondering what had I done to lose him. As I was staring into the view I heard my mother scream "Emily, can you come down please? We have news." I came rushing down the stairs because I loved news. "What's going on?" I said as I entered the living room. "We are going on a cruise and it is leaving tomorrow" my dad finally said. I jumped of joy. I loved to travel because it takes your mind off things. "But" My mom stated. "Nate and his family will be there too and we know how you guys left things back in Florida." I think I was smiling when my mom said this. Is this my chance to fix everything and go back to whatever we were or will it just be awkward for the week. I didn't say anything, I couldn't. After moments of silence, "I should go up and pack" I finally said. I entered my room, locked the door and hopped on the bed. The only thing I could think of was him, Nate. He was the only guy I've ever fallen in love with. We were best friends and our parents too. I loved him so much but it always seemed that he didn't like me, as if he saw me as a sister figure. As I got up from bed a message from him appeared on my screen.
Hey! Just heard the news! Can't wait.
My heart stopped. A single message from him and make my day. I also know that I'm only 16 and that I don't know the real meaning of love but when I was with him I would forget everything, smile to my ears even when I don't feel like getting out of bed. He had that loving and funny personality and I had that fierce but cute type which made us perfect for each other. His younger sister, Vanessa, always looked up to me and told me that I should get married to Nate. I finally replied...
Me Too :p
I waited and waited then I just gave up and started packing for the cruise while listening to "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri.
