voice inside the drop ship. He let's out a sigh in annoyance, knowing this'll be another night of next to no sleep. It's only been about 6 hours or so since they released the flares and because Raven's radio is still trashed, they have to sit and wait to find out exactly what's going to happen on the Ark.And though Bellamy's annoying voice woke Gray up about two hours after he fell asleep, he'll take it. He knows it's better than nothing. Gray watches the man search every inch of the second level in what seems to him like a panic. He's checking everyone, even waking up a few kids.
With a quiet groan, Gray pushes himself into a sitting position to better see the man. The torch he's holding illuminates the level quite a lot, making it easier to look for whatever he's looking for. To Gray, Bellamy almost looks like someone who's gone mad and isn't thinking straight. It would be funny if he hadn't just woken up.
The second Bellamy's searched every inch of the level, he moves to the third level. He spends a good amount of time up there before climbing down the latter and telling everyone to meet him outside. People start getting up and climbing down the latter. And while Gray just wants to sleep some more, he's equally curious and doesn't feel like he has much of a choice.
So he follows the others outside to find Bellamy carrying a shit ton of weapons. A small yawn escapes Gray's lips and he rubs his eyes tiredly. "Everyone gather around and grab a weapon."
Gray just stands there, eyes half open, and now regretting not just going back to sleep like he wanted to. Whatever this is can probably wait until morning. But Bellamy's always been an "act now, ask questions later" kind of person. Gray's gathered that much from their almost two weeks they've spent on earth.
Probably the longest two week of his life, too.
Bellamy explains to everyone that his sister is missing and she's been out in the forest for 12 hours. He tells everyone to grab a weapon, and judging by the look on his face, Gray knows the man doesn't plan on coming back without finding her. Bellamy calls for Finn as well to be their tracker.
"Why should we care what happens to her?" Gray asks. His questions make quite a few heads turn, including Bellamy's. The man's face hardens and he takes a step toward Gray. "It's not like it concerns any of us. Maybe she should've been more careful."
Bellamy's jaw tightens and he points a finger in Gray's face. When he speaks, his voice is low and angry. Octavia is the only thing he cares about, and he'll not stand for someone shit talking her. Especially the likes of Gray Lawson. "Watch yourself, Lawson."
Gray narrows his eyes. He wants to grab Bellamy's finger and snap it for pointing it in his face. But he's to tired for that. "Eat me, Blake."
Octavia isn't his priority, he's not worried about her. Hell, he doesn't really care for her. He's not responsible for joining a search party to look for her when she's just as much of an able-body as the rest of them. Gray gets her people skills aren't the best since she was locked under the floor for 16 years, but that's not his problem. She should have at least some survival instinct. It doesn't just disappear because they've been in space for 97 years.
"I'm not helping you; good luck finding her in the dark. She's probably dead already."
When Gray turns to walk away, Bellamy grabs him by the jacket and pulls him back. Gray trips slightly, but manages to stay on his feet before yanking himself out of the man's grasp. The two men stare each other down for a long, silent minute. They're both waiting for the other to make a move.
"Don't fucking touch me," Gray hisses. His heart is pounding in his chest as flashbacks to his father begin pushing their way forward. He can already feel the lump forming in his throat, but is able to keep himself from breaking down in front of everyone. He does not want a repeat of the cave. He already hates that it happened in front of Carson, and he's peobably die if it happened in front of everyone else in camp.
