Chapter 3

𝓚𝓲𝓽𝓽𝔂:
After four whole hours it's finally time for lunch and I can explore the library. After spending almost two whole hours in Biology I could not wait for some quiet time. I quickly found the library and sneaked inside. I breathed a sigh of relief "Finally some peace and quiet." I made my way to the romance section and smiled. I sat down letting my hair free falling in front of my face.
I put my airpods in and scroll looking for a good playlist. I finally choose my playlist
"🌊➡🌏 🔛🔝". I nod my head sleepily and after a few minutes fall asleep.
I suddenly wake up and clutch my leg in pain. I look up and see Xavier looking down smugly at me. "Mire nuestra gatita se dormio" he says as he looks down at me. "Porque me diste una patada" I said, rubbing my leg. "Why not?" he responded flatly. "I knew you were a robot but this is too far" I said annoyed at him. I stand up dusting myself off and flipping my hair. I noticed it was time for my last period. I grabbed my book bag and started towards class beforeI got tripped by Xavier. I caught myself on the table and glared back at him to find him leaving the library. "Fucker" I said under my breath before leaving. When I got to class I found a sticky note in my bag. "Don't mess with me gatita" I crumpled it and threw it away. It was an empty threat right, he couldn't do anything to me atleast in school. I went to my last choir class, which has a very interesting teacher. Ms. Jackson looked really young to be a teacher with her long dreads and sharp make-up. "Hola señores y señoritas soy su maestra, este es mi primer año en este bachillerato estoy muy emocionada de estar aquí" she said as she pointed out our temporary seats. I had to sit with only two people because the other one apparently got picked up early.
I was very happy at the extra space where I placed my backpack instead of on the floor.
Our teacher told us we wouldn't really do any real work and would get into the actual work next week,good. I spent most of the time reading but introduced myself to the kids at my table. Their names were Carmen and Milan, Milan told us she was named after her dad's favorite soccer team. I checked the time which was 3:30, only fifteen more minutes of school. "I know today was a hard day for everyone so i'll let you guys early just don't tell" she tells us and lets out seven minutes before the bell. I happily go to the school's garage and stop short when I see someone with a knife near the bikes. I hide behind a pillar and grab one of my thick books for protection purposes. I creeped towards the person before knocking them out with the hard cover. I kicked the person so they rolled over, I gasped when I saw it was a bloody mask. I quickly got on my bike, starting it and driving towards the exit. When I was at the exit I looked back and saw the person getting up. When I got to my dorm I made sure to have my pepper spray in hand just in case. I took a deep breath and entered turning the lights on. "If Anyone is there I'm armed with a shoe and pepper spray" I said as I took my shoes off and took one in my hand.
My breathing got shaky as I stepped forward from the kitchen to the living room and started towards my room until I heard something in my room. I shakily opened the door and found a cat inside with the name on the collar lily. I huffed a sigh of relief "Hey Lily how'd you get here you scared me." I leaned down to pet it until I saw who the owner is on the collar,Xavier."When did he sneak you in here, you know what I'm keeping you" I said smiling at the cat.
I scoop the little ball of ginger up and put her on my bed laying down beside her. "This is gonna be a long year,Lily. I sigh, pulling my phone out of my pocket and texting my mom. "Hey mom, how are things back in Cali?" I text her and put my phone down. "I missed dad so much, he died before I could even graduate." I say to Lily. I start to doze off, and Lily cuddles me as I fall asleep.
