     Noah was sitting on his bed after another long day of school, basking in the angelic light of Fridays. He suddenly heard a tap on the window. Noah turned his head not to see a squirrel, but his best friend Cody Anderson. He rushed over to the window and opened it, letting him inside his room.

     "Dude, what the hell are you doing?" Noah asked as he shut the window behind them. Cody flopped down onto a bean bag.

     "My parents are fighting again. Do you mind if I stay over here for a day or two?"

     Noah knew that Cody's parents fought a lot, as in a concerning amount to raise children.

     "Oh, yeah, sure dude. Sorry about that." Noah sat down on the bean bag next to Cody, their thighs touching.  There was a long silence between the two. For as long as they were friends, they had always had some sort of romantic tension, but never enough to where either of them mentioned anything. However, tonight was different. There was more tension than usual, and this time, Cody wanted to say something.

     "Hey, dude? Can I ask you something? But please don't be mean about it." Cody said, fiddling with his hair even though he didn't have much length to it.

     "Yeah, sure man. Go ahead." Replied Noah, not knowing the chaos to come. Cody took a deep breath.

     "So, uhm, I really really like you. And I know that we're best friends, but for a long time I've felt that there was so much more between us." He looked away and blushed.

     Noah was stunned. He secretly felt the exact same way, also for a long time. He even at one point had sexual thoughts about him and Cody.

Noah POV:

     I smiled at Cody. I couldn't believe that he felt the same as me. I eagerly said

     "Really? Me, too!"

And pulled Cody in closer to my face. Cody looked shocked. He responded quickly and sharply.

     "Oh my god, really?"

     "Yeah! Totally!"
