I just finished airing my news live on the radio. The sky was getting dark and I can even smell the salty wind, indicating that it's about to rain. Just as I was about to step outside on the way to the parking space, it started pouring really hard. I looked at my car, and I contemplate if I should consider driving on the slippery roads.
I'm driving my dream car here wtf!
I felt anxious that I'm silently crying.
"Miss, are you okay?"
I heard a voice behind me and I turned around to see a man with platinum blonde hair, who looked vaguely familiar. He had a worried look on his face, but I swear I've seen him somewhere. My gut feeling tells me that he's J-Hope but I could be wrong, he might be a doppelgänger or something...
Damn, Hoseok in platinum blonde really hits different. I'm drooling
"Who are you? I don'r even know your name" I asked while wiping my tears
"It doesn't matter. I heard you crying and I hate seeing someone crying, so I just thought making u feel better" he said softly.
I sighed, feeling exhausted and defeated.
"I'm tired, I wanna go home but it was raining cats and dogs. I have my car with me but I don't want to drive on a slippery road".
He nodded understandingly.
"There is a little cafe outside this building, how about we stay there for awhile until the rain stops?" he offered.
I hesitated at first. I didn't want to spend my money on unnecessary things, and besides he is still a stranger to me. But when I looked around and realized I had nowhere to go, I reluctantly agreed.
We sat at the cafe, savoring the strawberry cake (because he looooves strawberry, berry berry... strawberry) and some orange tea we ordered...
As we enjoyed our treats, he asked me if it was me doing the news earlier on the air. He must have recognized my voice even if it's not modulated.
"Yeah, it was me" I confirmed sheepishly. "But please, don't tell anyone, I prefer to keep my profile low".
"Okay, I understand" he nodded.
And as soon our conversation turned lighter and fun, the rain has stopped and we saw streaks of pink in the clouds as the sun began to set, causing a beautiful glow over everything.I felt the tears in my eyes as I got overwhelmed by its beauty.
"Hello?!" He voiced snapped me out of my reverie.
"Oh, sorry" I stammered. "It's just that it's beautiful"
"Yep, just like you" he replied casually.
I felt my cheeks flush with warmth and my heart was racing at his words.
"Really? Thank you" I managed to reply while feeling flustered. "That's nice of you to say".
"Uhm... Since I have my car, would u like to join me for a ride?" I asked, suddenly feeling bold.
"Yes please, thank you" He replied with a smile.
I asked him where can I drop him and his apartment building is just 200km from mine. We're both going north.
We're cruising down the highway and get to know each other a little more and it felt like we have known each other for years. Well, we've always crossed paths since we are in the same building, but I didn't expect this kind of interaction. And as soon as we reached his apartment building, he asked for my Instagram account and he will just follow and send me a message there. And just before he hopped off the car...
"Wait you haven't told me who you are. Mind if you tell me your name?" I asked.
"Hope" he replied.
"Clara. Nice to meet you finally meet you... And thanks for the comfort" I replied with a smile
"I'm looking forward to see you again..." he took my right hand and kissing it gently.
"Have a great evening tonight" I said before he closed the car door and headed into the building.
I beamed, feeling a warm fuzziness rush over me and I couldn't contain it. As I drove my way back to my apartment building, "On The Street" started playing on the radio.
I woke up to my clingy and noisy cat. He must be hungry... again!
