Izzy did indeed take her pills, which were sedatives (fancy word for sleeping pills). She never actually questioned her father's reason to do this, and trusts him blindly. On day 147, you could read ''Why's my belly so round and big?'' (trigger warning up ahead), which indicates that she's been raped, and impregnated as a result. She is eventually a young child, who doesn't know what being impregnated and raped means.
