CHAPTER 31 - FORGOTTEN 🥀

Chaeyoung thought his eyes is lying him that he sees as Sana's out of nowhere appears into his room. But the gravity drags him down to the ground as Sana's voice breaks the space.

"Chaeng..I-uh" She stutters, knowing the gravity of her wrong doing, crossing her limits.

Chaeyoung springs out from the bed, walks pass  her and checks outside the room, worry that Mina's will caught them. He close the door and steps in front of her, "What are you doing here, Sana-yaa? You shouldn't be here" his voice rush, tinged terror and worry. His blood completely flash out his face.

"Chaeng, I just really need to talk to you" her body shaking, her demenours weight in guilt and nervousness.

Chaeyoung let out a heavy sigh "Whatever it is, please leave now, we can talk another time" he says, slowly trying to push Sana out but she dodge his hand.

Her voice raise in octave "Son Chaeyoung, please..I want to apologize" her lisp trembles. Her heart pounding in uncontrollably. "I've been waiting to talk to you but you didn't come to the office for a week now and I have no other options anymore, that I have to come here like a culprit just to talk to you..please, Chaengi" she pleads.

Chaeyoung blink his eyes in defeat, trying to calm down, "Fine, just make it fast..what is it" he demanded, just doesn't want to cause any fuss, didn't want to waster his time and out of everything worry if Mina found out this thing, the worst will come after him again.

Sana's face pasted a relief but i didn't took long until the contemplation hit her again "Chaeng..I need to tell you the truth" her voice flat in nervous humors. At this moment, she already gave up to please Chaeyoung. She had done enough hurting herself and people around her, people that she loved. She decided to end everything. She tells only truth to Chaeyoung. Eventhough she realizes the how the truth will affects their friendship, her life and her family. At this moment, She's collecting all pieces of her courage and unfolds the truth to Chaeyoung.

Chaeyoung attentively hearing what's Sana telling him, the puzzle seems to connected one by one. Frustration, anger and sadness all at once waves upon him.

"Chaeng..I'm so sorry..I have no choice anymore..please know that I hate myself doing this to you" her eyes already swells with tears.

"Why didn't you just be honest with me in the first place, Sana-yaa. You don't have to be this far for your family and your dad. I consider your family as mine, Sana-yaa..I'm willingly to help your family even thought there's no marriage between us" Chaeyoung holds her shoulder, explaining and trying to calm her down. Never even once Chaeyoung sees Sana this fragile.

Sana trembling hard, she couldn't bring herself to stop crying. Her tired and redden eyes fix on Chaeyoung. "I really should have tell you Chaeng. I know.." she utters. But still there's thing unsettle yet in her heart make she begging for his forgiveness. "And I'm so sorry, Chaengi that I fool you, I trapped you to fall for me. I'm sorry that I make you confuse, pushed you to come to me. It's hurting me that I have to do that when I also have no other feelings for you except loving you as my best friend" she swallows the lump in her throat.

Chaeyoung dumbfounded for a moment but he couldn't brings himself to outrage to her because he also at fault for this. He was fucking stupid that he fell for her. He can't blame Sana, they both stuck, trappep and pathetic. Looking the vulnerable Sana, and the way she resent herself now cause Chaeyoung's heart aching.

Chaeyoung collect his patient, "It's fine, Sana-yaa..Let's move on from this.." he says in gentleness but his heart is silently broken after being fool by her. his feelings for Sana is real, but he glad that he can finally wash it away, he finally have a reason to let her go.
