I woke up to the loud beeping of my alarm clock.

I got up and got on my clothes and ran into the small sized kitchen to make some breakfast.

I decided to make my favorite, toast.

Once I made it, I got one out and began to eat.

PG was up and was walking down the hallway holding a pillow.

"Sup Mr. Ring Ring," I said beginning to make some coffee.

"Don't call me that." he said, walking into the living room and plopping down on the couch.

I put some coffee in a mug and some more in another.

"Here, have some coffee eat the toast." I told him.

He took the coffee and replied, "I hate toast."

"What?! Nobody can hate toast! NOBODY! C'mon bro, just eat it." I said, throwing it at him.

He caught it and began to eat as he once in a while took a sip of coffee.

He got up and put it down.

"I'm going to go take a shower," he said.

"Ok, I'm go-" I was cut off by the phone ringing.

PG stopped and picked it up.

The person on the other line was demanding and pretty loud.

"Ok, ok. We will, calm down... bye." PG said, hanging up.

"The boss said there's another recruit and we have to be considerate. Mike told him about our fight the other day...." PG said, before walking to the bathroom.

"Alright." I replied, getting up and going to the bedroom to get my uniform ready.

~magical time skip that nobody likes~

We both sat in our chairs and worked for what seemed like ages.

"Hey, Vincent, have you ever liked anyone before?" He asked. "Just a random question."

I thought for a moment and remembered.

'See ya later, best pal!'

I could feel my eyes get watery, but I stopped them from forming tears.

I sniffled before replying, "Well, there was this one girl named Spring. She was really sweet."

"You should ask her out. I'm sure she'd love to hang out with a toast loving freak like you," he said.

I chuckled a bit.

"I can't." I said, trying to get back to work.

"Why not? Afraid? Embarrassed? Puberty?" He asked.

"No....shes dead." I said looking at him.

"Oh.... I'm sorry..." he said silently.

There was a long silence between us before I broke it.

"Uh, so, what about you?"

He hesitated before replying.

"Ummmm.... I've never really liked anybody before. But uhh... there is this one hot girl in class... she's got the looks." He said.

I laughed.

"Anybody else...?" I Said, trying not to laugh even harder.

"Uhhh....I guess my mom...." he said.

That's when I burst out laughing.

"Dude, that's just sad!" I yelled in between laughs.

He muttered something to himself before getting back to work.

The boss called us in and said some stuff about how we had to train the new kid.

"Alright boss, we got it," PG said into the phone.

"Ok, before you go his name is.....er...oh, Fritz. Fritz Smith."
