Sirius rolled into the parking lot, searching for James and Regulus in the group of motorcycles parked along the far edge. He spotted James's red and gold monstrosity of a Ninja 650 fairly quick and maneuvered to park by him. James lifted his hand for a fist bump when Sirius pulled up next to him.

Cutting the engine and pulling his visor up, Sirius settled into a more comfortable sitting position, twisting his back to get the kinks out of it. He loved his bike, but that was the biggest downside of a sportbike. Sirius undid the strap holding his gloves in place, pulling them off his hands and setting them on the tank in front of him. He reached out to where his phone was mounted to the front of his bike, pausing the music.

"Took you long enough to get here. Didn't think you'd actually show up there for a sec." James gave Sirius a small shove, making him laugh.

"Yeah, I just wanted to ride solo a bit. Long ass week"

James hummed his agreement.

James and Sirius were joint owners of a tattoo parlor. They'd been open for a couple of years, but it recently got some media attention and they've been working to the bone, trying to get sessions scheduled, designs drawn up, and skin inked. But they were both off that night and the next day, providing a perfect opportunity for a night ride with the crew.

Sirius looked around, looking at the people here, and their corresponding bikes. He finally saw Regulus standing with Lily and Dorcas over by Lily's new ride. She has been with James for a few years and finally decided to get her own license a few months ago. Her and James have gone on rides with just them or Sirius tagging along, but this was her first ride in a big group. Her face lit up with excitement, talking to Dorcas about her candy apple red R3 she'd just gotten a few days ago. Sirius felt a smile tug at his lips, happy to see her so excited to finally be the one in control of the bike.

His eyes moved over the rest of the group. He saw the Prewitt twins, with their twin bikes, and Mary and Marlene. And there was Peter, on his little bike that he refused to get rid of.

Sirius's gaze slipped to the rest of the parking lot, taking in anyone who was there and vehicles moving around. He saw a white Forester pull up to a pump. He could barely make out the curly sandy blond hair and the sharp featured face of the driver before he got out of the car, obscuring Sirius's view.

Sirius missed what James had said to him, preoccupied with watching the stranger. James hit his arm, ripping Sirius's attention from him. "Take a picture, it'll last longer" James jabbed.

"What did you want? Or did you just want to interrupt my thoughts because you have none in that head of yours and felt left out?" Sirius raised a brow at James, who promptly started laughing.

"Nah, I was just going to see what your plans were for the weekend. We're off tomorrow, we can actually enjoy ourselves. I'm thinking about hitting up the club if the ride tonight isn't too late."

"Yeah, I'm good with whatever, just gotta let me know what you want to do." Sirius's gaze traveled back over to the Forester. The only thing he could see was the back of the stranger's head.

James let out an exasperated sigh. "Just go talk to him, you creep. Stop staring at him."

"I can't just walk up to him. What if he thinks that's weird?"

"Because you sitting here staring at him isn't weird."

"I know my brother is strange, but what'd he do this time?" Regulus walked up to where James and Sirius were perched on their bikes. His arms were hanging at his side, face completely unamused.

"I am not strange, thank you. That'd be you. You and James. I swear you like each other more than either of you like me. Which is absolutely not okay because you're my brother and you're my best friend. So I should be your favorite person." Sirius crossed his arms, not un-similarly to a petulant child.
