-Nala and Izzy in their outfits in mm-

There was something in the air today that gave Nala a feeling of utter happiness. She awoke that morning in her incredibly spacious condo, and even with everything going on around her, she knew today was going to be a great day. Today wasn't like any other day, not at all. Nala was now a single woman. An extremely beautiful 21 year old who was kid-free, and now no longer held down or held back. She was single with not a care in the world.

Nala sat on the balcony of her condo which was paid for by her parents as long as she stayed in school. She loved her condo and it made it even better that it was hers. It was located in one of the better neighborhoods of Newark, New Jersey.

As Nala gazed out into the sky on a beautiful June evening she couldn't help the calmness that overcame her. It was only 8:20 and the sun had began to set. The orange and red glow was downright mesmerizing. Nala sat back in her lounge chair and reflected on the way her life was going. After a while she sat up and tapped her freshly painted nails and toes to make sure they were dry. She had been anticipating for the clock to hit 8:20 for what seemed to be an eternity. At 8:20 is when she would start to get ready because it was a must that she leave the house at exactly 9:20 giving her an hour to reach perfection. It would take Nala exactly 25 minutes to get to Monique's house where her and the girls would leave in order to leave for the big apple at 10:30.

Nala had her schedule all planned out, but she knew things would never go as she wanted them to, mostly because Monique always had to make an important weed run before being able to do anything. Nala began to get ready any way to make sure she was at least on time.

Nala's confidence was the main thing that brought her trouble, but she couldn't help it. Nala came from a great family with an even better financial status. Her parents reminded her every chance they could that she was the most precious thing in the entire world to them.

After checking herself once more in the mirror, glancing at her makeup and running her fingers through her hair, she was finally ready to go. She winked at herself and headed to her car at exactly 9:20 like she planned. Wearing her nude with a hint of gold Red bottom heels, a tiny black dress that was simple enough to look effortless but sexy enough to be the center of attention, topped with her fur coat. Her jet black hair was bone straight, thanks to her early appointment at one of Newark's finest stylist. Courtesy of her vacation to the Bahamas from the past week, her butterscotch skin was sun kissed perfection. She was flawless.

Her ex-boyfriend, Julian, had treated her to that vacation, but a week ago he wasn't her ex. Julian was more than the shit. He had cars, clothes, a great reputation, and he was sexy as hell. He was no doubt the hood's treasure, and if Nala was the pirate ship, then Mr. Julian was certainly the captain and every pirate on board wanted to be him.

Monique and Izzy were chilling on Monique's broke down porch smoking on a blunt while laughing and talking about everything and everyone under the sun. Monique lived in the heart of the ghetto and she loved every bit of it. "Izzy look at this hoe! She know she need to quit!" Monique yelled while laughing and showing Izzy a picture of this girl on Instagram. Izzy laughed with Monique as she always did. Izzy saw Monique as the leader. She laughed at every one of her jokes, and listened to her nonsense just to stay on her good side. The last thing anyone wanted to do was be on Monique's bad side, it was a side feared by many. Monique laid back and put her feet on the railing of the porch steps  and Izzy did the same. "I have no fucking clue what to wear tonight." Monique said more to herself than Izzy while taking a long drag of the blunt. "We should be dressed before Nala gets here, you know how she is." Izzy said jokingly "I bought my clothes over here because I was gonna borrow your shoes, you know I can't get dressed without shoes." The two looked at each other momentarily and than busted out in laughter. They weren't laughing because of Izzy's airhead ways, but simply because they were high.
