K-pop group Seventeen's Vernon had always been known for his cheerful and charismatic personality. He was the global heartthrob of the group, with fans all over the world swooning over his deep voice, sharp dance moves, and irresistible dimples. But behind the bright smile and energetic performances, Vernon had been battling with a secret that he kept hidden from everyone.

It started with a persistent cough, which he brushed off as just a seasonal allergy. But as days went by, Vernon's cough became worse and more frequent. As Vernon gradually regained his strength, Joshua encouraged him to channel his energy into writing music. Music was always Vernon's outlet, and Joshua knew that it would help him heal. Together, they wrote a song about Vernon's struggle, which the group ended up performing on their tour. The song, titled 'In My Illness,' resonated with the fans, and Vernon received an outpour of love and support from their fans worldwide.
