The Mission

Paris, France.

The Justice League is on a suicidal mission, Luthor has took control of Superman's mind. While the rest of the League is fighting Luthor in his armour and Clark. Batman is trying to find a weakness from Luthor armour. He thinks that taking out Luthor will help Clark to control himself again.

Luthor and Clark have took down all the League, everyone is hardly in pain except Wonder Woman, she's still fighting Clark and Luthor. Batman has a plan, and he succeeded to take out Luthor. Clark is now himself again.

But then Luthor use a scarecrow toxin dose on Clark, and he start to see Doomsday besides of Batman. Bruce and Diana both understand quickly that situation. So Diana start to hold back Clark from killing Bruce. Bruce could do nothing but run away. But then Clark take down Diana, incounscious. Bruce is climbing the Eiffel Tower with his grapple, but it's too late, Clark has reached him.

"You won't hurt anyone else Doomsday, it's over" said Clark. Bruce is now trapped in deadlocked, Clark is blocking the way. Bruce appears to give up. But in fact he knew that he would be the last to stand against Clark.
He had a nanotech armour composed of kryptonite. He put it on and he can now stand against Clark, weakened by the kryptonite.
Despite that, Clark and Bruce starts a brutally fight, and Clark had too much anger that he started to destroy Bruce armour, reducing the impact of the kryptonite on his powers.
Bruce is getting more and more damaged. Clark can now use his powers, and he starts to burn Bruce on the chest with his lasers. But at the last minute, Diana fly in mid-air into Clark, taking him with her. They fall on the street, and while Clark is getting up, she instantly throws her lasso of truth on him.

"Kal-El, Son of Jor-El, know who you are"
she said. The toxin in Clark is getting away, thanks to the lasso. "Clark we need you back, we need you to stop this misery"
Clark is him again, and for good. Diana instantly fly to Bruce, almost dead in the Eiffel Tower.
"Bruce are you okay ???" she says.
Bruce makes a pain noise, he's burnt almost all over his stomach.
"Bruce talk to me, I...We, need you. You can't go away like this.
-Where's Clark ? What's he doing ??
-Don't worry, I took out the toxin of his body with my lasso, he's him and he's alright. He also regrets what he did.
-It wasn't him, it was Luthor, Luthor is responsible of everything that happened here, not Clark."

Clark has come to his senses and fly back to where are Bruce and Diana.
"Bruce I'm so sorry I shouldn't let Luthor control me again.
-It's okay Clark, you're back with us, that's all what matters."
A couple of seconds later, Bruce start to leave, his eyes are closing and his words are getting lower and slower, untill he stop talking. Bruce is now officially dead.

Clark fly with Bruce body, he and Diana are crying, but Diana is really crying sobs staying where Bruce died.
"Is he okay ??" just said Barry.
John answers "You really think he's okay right now ?"
All the League find out by just looking at Clark's face that Bruce is dead. They all get back to the Watchtower.

Watchtower, in space.

Clark instantly put Bruce in a machine that is supposed to cure a body when he's not totally dead. The League is really not sure if Bruce is gonna come back or not.
While everyone is waiting in the hall of the tower, Diana comes in and tell to everyone that Bruce is gonna take some days to cure, if he can. Everyone leave the tower to do personal stuff, because Luthor isn't the only threat in the world. Only Diana stays in with Bruce, sleeping next to him.

A few days later, Bruce finally starts to breathe and some signals on the vital signs monitor appears. He's alive ! He will wake up another day later. While Bruce was asleep, Diana talked to him, thinking that he would never hear it:
"I'm so sorry Bruce, we shouldn't let Luthor get close to Clark, when you first broke the armour that had control on him. I am so stupid, I should have seen it. Without the toxine, you would be okay. You're probably gonna die, and I'm so broken if that happens."
She starts to cry sobs again, for a couple of minutes.

Then she calm herself, and say again:
"I always loved you Bruce, with all my heart, from the moment that I met you, I instantly knew that we were meant for the other. But I always ignored that, I should've told you before, maybe you wouldn't have cared but who knows, maybe you're feeling the same. I would love it but, anyway..."
In his sleep, it seems that Bruce was almost awakened and heared what she said. But he will not remember it instantly when he'll wake up.
