"Hey dad," I whispered into the phone and looked at my dad through the glass that separated us.

"Hey." he mumbled tired back.He had dark circles under his eyes. His skin has also become paler.
He has been in prison for two months now because of drug dealing in a gang. "How are you doing..here?" I asked carefully while playing with the telephone cable.
He just scoffed.I decided not to ask any further.

"How's your mom?" he suddenly asked and looked at me tiredly with his eyes.
"She's uhm...she's alright." I said, trying to sound convincing.
My mom couldn't handle the whole situation at all.
Her behavior has changed a lot and she doesn't seem to have any ‚clear' thoughts anymore.
"Good"
"That's good," he repeated his words again. I just nodded slowly. My hand gripped the phone tightly.
"And Yiseo?"
"She's..okay.She's okay." I said slowly.Yiseo was my little sister
"Y/N." my father said through the phone. I looked at him as confirmation that he could continue talking.
"There's something you should know." "And that is?" I asked a bit unsure

"The time is over," said one of the police guards behind me.
"One more minute." I said without turning around to the police officer. "The time is over Miss." he repeated himself and I heard steps behind me getting closer and closer.
"But I-" I started but I heard my father talking through the phone which was still close to my ear.
"Get out of here. You're mom is probably waiting for you."
"What did you want to tell me?" I asked, hoping to get an answer.
Before neither he nor I could say anything, he was taken back to his cell by the guards. I saw him disappear around the corner and a rough grip was felt on my arm.
I looked behind me and spotted one of the guards.
"Time is up kiddo."
"Already on my way out of here." I said and tore myself away from his grip and left the prison.

A cold wind flew through my face as I took the first steps outside. It slowly started to get dark and the street lights came on.

I'm standing at the bus stop where my bus was supposed to arrive.
The bus stopped at the bus stop but I didn't get on. I looked at the doors which opened and then closed again. The bus drove away with a slight squeak.
Something prevented me from getting in. So now I had no choice but to walk the whole way

"Where have you been?" was the first thing I heard when I entered the apartment.
"I visited dad. You know that."
I said to my mother as I took off my shoes.
"It's 9pm. I was waiting for you at the bus stop but you didn't get off the bus."
"You were waiting for me?" I looked at her.Her face pale.
"Yes. What if something happened to you on the way home from the bus stop?"
My mother cared a lot more about me and my sister since my father was in prison.
"I walked all the way from the prison here alone. And nothing happened to me."
My mother ran her fingers through her hair. I went up to her and hugged her.
"You should stop worrying so much." I said during this. I could hear my mother's sobs and her hands gripping my shoulders.
"Everything will be okay again," I whispered

After my mother calmed down, she pulled away from the hug and looked at me.
"What would I do without you?" she said while stroking my cheek.
I ignored this question and pulled her hand slightly away from my cheek. "You should go to sleep now mom." "Yeah..yeah I should." she said and made her way to her room.
"Mom." I said before she disappeared completely.
"Yeah?"
"I love you." she smiled slightly
"I love you too. Good night sweetheart."

I quietly opened the door of my room and saw the shadow of Yiseo lying in bed.
I closed the door quietly again and put on some clothes to sleep in.
"Y/N?" I heard quietly from my bed I looked at Yiseo who had raised herself up a little from the bed.
"Go back to sleep." I whispered as I went to bed.
"Have you visited Dad again?" as she asked this question her eyes grew larger.
"Yeah..I did." I said and got into bed with her.
Mom insisted that Yiseo sleep in my room. She said it would be safer.
"I want to go visit dad too." Yiseo said sadly and looked at the blanket.
"One day you can. But not yet." I quickly added.
"Do you think he'll come back?" she asked and layed back down again.
"Of course he will."
"Hopefully."
Those were Yiseo's last words before she fell asleep. I also fell asleep a short time later
