This is a true story. And it happened to me.
This happened about six months ago. I was just getting out of my school of arts and needed a ride home. Because it was only two o'clock my grandma was still at work and wouldn't be off until six, so I decided to call a cab to take me home. I only lived about five or six miles from the school but it was too far to walk. When the cab driver arrived before I got into the car I told him my address through the small crack in the window. He looked to be about in his early 40's, had a baseball cap on and a white t shirt with stains all over it. As soon as I entered the cab there was a foul smell to it. I shrugged it off thinking nothing of it. Maybe he was just a gross fuck. After about ten minutes of driving the man spoke in a deep raspy voice "I gotta stop for gas. Im gonna take a back road. They got cheaper gas," I found this extremely weird. First of all, shouldn't he have gotten gas before picking me up? He took a right turn on a old dirt road that looks to be pretty empty. The smell was beginning to bother me at this point, so I confronted the man. "Can you roll down your window? It smells really bad in here," "No." He spoke plainly. I found that extremely rude but didn't say anything else. "You kind of get used to the smell after a while." We pulled into an old 70's looking gas station at least three miles from civilization. The sun had already began going down behind the trees across from the station. I checked my phone, no signal. While the man was inside paying I rolled down the back window for fresh air. Even then it sunk. At first I thought maybe it was just him but something stunk inside the car. I turned in my seat and pulled back the cup holder. I turned on the flashlight on my phone to get a good look of the inside. It looked like something long in a white sheet and rope. Then I noticed it. All over the middle of it. Blood. I immediately opened the door and sprinted as fast as I could away from the station. The road was covered by trees on both sides so I would have cover if he came looking for me. I began to hear a car zooming down the road and took a trail I saw to my left. After another few minutes of running I came across a country looking house with two white cars in the driveway. I began banging on their door until I heard a woman shout, "give me a second." When she opened the door I invited myself in almost falling to the floor. I told her to call the police and she did. I explained what happened and they said they would do what they could. My grandma picked me up from the womans house that night and requested that I never take public transportation again.About a week later on a weekend I was watching the news with my grandparents and a story about a taxi driver abducting, raping, and murdering three teen girls came up. They showed the mans picture. It was him. This made my skin crawl so I turned off the tv. To this day I dont and will never take public transportation. And I highly suggest you don't as well.
