[In the Mid-Evening at the Creek lies the Trading Tree, still attached as usual in the quiet night after being rapidly looted two days ago. But it's all changed when it was filled with timers, alarm clocks, bells, and whatnot that they all are stings attached to the stand, creating an homemade alarm system. And what's behind the bushes that wasn't too far from the stand are four kids hiding and waiting for the looter arrived.]

[First, it's an 5th-Grader boy with yellow long-sleeved shirt; an short 4th-Grader girl with blue-grey T-shirt with a heart and large purple cape, along with her bird companion/pet whose often sitting at her head; an tall 7-Grader boy with a long-sleeve orange and white striped V-neck hockey jersey; and, another 7-Grader boy whose look more of an archer with a green poncho with light and dark green line in a pattern.]

[All four kids stayed in the creek while waiting for the looter arrives the scene. But staying up late through the night, takes a toll on them. They became somewhat bored from this, and started to gets sluggish where the sleepiness kicks in.]

Tall Boy: *Yawn loudly* Guys, how long are we gonna wait? My eyes started to shut itself out and I'm feeling.... a little.....ssslleeeepppp......{He fell asleep while still standing with two feet as he snored loudly with his mouth wide open in his tired slumber. But soon, he was awoken up by a smack in the head by the short girl's plastic-tube sword.} Huh?! Huh?! Wha...?

Short Girl (with tired eyes): Focus, JP! Everyone is counting on us to catch those snack-stealing thief! We've to stay vigilant for the.... for the.... safety.... of the...... creeeeeekkkkk.....{The drowsiness also affect the short girl's tiredness. Felling victim to the affect, lowering down her plastic weapon before she was quickly awoken up by her faithful companion whose kept pecking her head to wake up.} I'm awake! I'm awake!

Archer Kid: Craig, I hate it to be a downer from this, but... let's call it a night. It's almost at midnight already. We can't take another hour if one of us started to get tired. Let's head home and do it again tomorrow, alright?

[While the 5th-Grader boy named Craig wants to protest his friend's suggestion, he made a good, valid point from what he's saying. His invention didn't set any alarms from any looters coming here tonight. So he decided to call off for a night and try again tomorrow. But before getting ready to leave, a sound of ringing and honking noises startle the kids as Craig's homemade alarm system works for a charm as it kept making noises.]

[They quickly rush out from the bushes they're hiding from and head toward the Trading Tree. The short girl, Kelsey, was going up ahead of them and headed to the stand where she  confronted the wannabe-looter, drawing out her plastic-tube sword.]

Kelsey: Alright, snack-stealing thief! You better prepare yourself to surrender or fear the wrath of--- *Gasped in shock* Huh?! {Along with her bird companion who's also gasped beside her master/pet owner.}

[Three out of four reached to the stand and reacted the same awe-dropping reaction of what they caught from the alarm system. It's not some kid who's stealing snacks late at night or an wild animals somewhere outskirt in the creek or even, an wandering strays. It's a small creature; a size of an child, but it's not an child. The creature is made of a grey, stonelike body, round head, five fingers on each hands with no toes on its feet, and an white, pupilless eyes as it was tangled up in the stings it wrapped around, unable to move by the loud noises his invention it's making.]

[The Stump Kids are all stunned of the revelation and also, pretty excited to see something out of an ordinary, here in the creek. And what's more exciting is telling everyone of what they've caught by tomorrow. All except Craig. While everyone is celebrating of the success they captured, Craig takes notice of the small creature they captured, feeling uncomfortable from the noises it's making. Hurting it as the creature wailed in pain. It tried to cover its ears from the noises (if they had ears), but it was unsuccessful to cover them, being tangled up in a stings filled with small bells that causes a lot more pains to the poor creature's sensitive ears. Seeing this how the small creature was trapped in such a state, has an guilty conscience from Craig, and started to regret of making his homemade alarm system. To fix the wrong he created, Craig takes action, removing parts after parts of his own invention while freeing the small creature. When his friends took notice of his disappearance within the group and seeing him tearing down his own creation, they were completely shocked of what they're seeing from their map-making friend, especially what Craig's doing of what his invention has caught from this.]
