🍁"Every heart sings a song incomplete until the other heart whispers to complete it"🍁

No one's P.O.V.
"Hi," she found herself replying. Kabir approached her. He looked even more appealing because of his delicious scent.
'You arrived late. I have been waiting for a while' her heart whispered.
"Is the marriage over?" he questioned.
"The last ritual is currently taking place," she explained.
"That is the crucial one. What are you doing outside?" he inquired. His tone was calm and formal. How could he be so unaffected? He exuded a sense of having been in contact with her since long whilst they have been out of touch in reality. He was too casual for her liking. She was so nervous to meet him, and he was acting so cool. This does not sit well with her.
Does her absence have no effect on him?
Is her presence not significant for him?
How could he be so casual about it? Is all of her feelings for him one-sided? Kabir loved her, right? Who is he in love with? Her? Or her past self? Or an imagined love story? Who?
"I am here to get Ami's jacket. You go ahead, and I will follow you," she said.
Kabir looked into her eyes and said, "I am glad you are returning to your normal life." She smiled in response to his comment.
Can things ever be normal again? The answer is no.
"I suppose," she said. She walked past him, but he turned around and started walking beside her.
He said, "Let me join you," and walked with her. They took the jacket and quietly walked back inside. After that, no words were exchanged.

Kabir interacted with the rest of his friends and apologized for being late. Aashi stood up alongside the ladies, holding a cup of tea. The rituals were performed, and she stood away from Kabir, occasionally staring at him. Though she made sure he did not know, she could not resist not looking him up.
Dhruv and Kabir contacted Aashi after the bride bid farewell to everyone.
Dhruv said, "Aashi, let us go."
"I am going to drop her. You leave," Kabir said looking at Dhruv. Aashi's heart leaped for happiness. That's what she wanted but her face feigned no reaction at all.
"Do you mind?" Dhruv asked Aashi, just to be sure. Kabir rolled his eyes.
Never, her heart whispered.
"I have no problems," Aashi said, and Dhruv left the two after a brief hug.
Kabir drove Aashi to her house. The journey was silent. She kept looking at him from the periphery of her vision, but he was driving. Not once did he look at her. She noticed him clenching his jaw and gripping the steering wheel tightly. Soft lo-fi music bridged the gap between them.
Is he tensed?, she wondered.
She let out a deep sigh and looked outside the car. She was too exhausted. Attending an Indian wedding is no joke. She has been moving around doing chores since the morning. She wanted to sleep, but falling asleep while Kabir is driving is bad manners. She needs to keep him company.
