Chapter 1

"Mom, I'm leaving! Bye, I love you!"Angel, also known as Angie, yelled as she grabbed her car keys and was leaving for school.

"Bye Angel, I love you too. Be careful!" Kathy, Angel's mother, yelled as she waved by to Angie.

Angie was wearing leggings, a crop top, and black converses. She sighed as she sat in the driver's seat and pulled up her cherry red dyed hair. She picked up two coffees, one vanilla and one caramel for her best friend Nessa, from a nearby gas station. She quickly drove to school and parked her car next to Nessa's jeep.

"Morning love." Angie said with a smile as she got out of the car.

"Oh,burn in hell." Nessa said jokingly as she rolled her eyes, considering shes not a morning person.

Angie pulled out the vanilla cold coffee and gave it to Nessa, "Do I still have to burn in hell?" She asked with a small smile.

Nessa gasped as she grabbed the coffee, "No, you don't have to." She said as she took a sip of coffee then sighed.

Angie chuckled then saw Nathan and rolled her eyes, "Ness, just keep walking" she whispered as she motioned to Nathan. Nessa's eyes narrowed at Nathan,then kept walking after Angie locked her car.

Nathan blocked Angie's way, "Hey, can I talk to you baby?" He asked gently.

Angie rolled her eyes, "Nathan for the last damn time, we broke up. I'm not your baby anymore." She said like she was trying to explain multiplication to a kindergarten student.

Nathan frowned, "Can I still talk to you?" He asked.

Angie looked at Nessa and nodded, "Go, I'll meet you in class." She said with a soft smile. Nessa hesitated,then gave Angie a hug and went to class.

Angie sighed as she crossed her arms, "what do you want?" She said calmly.

He sighed, "I want us back, I want you back." He said gently.

She scoffed, "Yeah no, not happening. You cheated, I'll never forgive you for that." She said harshly.

He sighed, "I know I fucked up, I'm sorry. But I still love you." He said tearing up but Angie knew it was fake. Nathan was known as the schools playboy and fuck boy.

Angie scoffed, "Look if you loved me, you would've never cheated. Now if you excuse me, I have to get to class or I'll be late." She said putting her arms down then went to walk away but, Nathan grabbed her arm harshly and dragged her back to him.

Angie gasped in pain, "Nathan, let go! That hurts!" She said tearing up.

He scoffed, "I'm not letting you go ever." He said with an evil look in his eyes. Angie started to fight to get out of his grip but he only tightened it. She started to sob in pain as she kept on fighting.

"Nathan let her go." A calm male voice said when he walked up.

Angie looked at the male and it was Jake Austin, her old childhood crush and best friend but they grew distance over the years. She stopped fighting but Nathan kept his hands on her.

"She's mine, I'm never letting her go!" He said harshly. Angie looked at Jake fearfully and started to hyperventilate.

"Nathan, let her go! You're going to send her into a panic attack damn it! "Jake yelled at Nathan.

Nathan scoffed and pushed Angie towards Jake, "Fine take her, but I will have her one way or another!" He declared then left angerly.

Angie was still trying to calm down her breathing as she sobbed into Jake's chest. Jake wrapped his arms around her and calmed her down. When she was good and calmed down, she looked down at her arm and saw that her arm was starting to bruise.

Angie looked at Jake, "Thanks, I owe you one for that." She said softly.

Jake shook his head, "Don't mention it, how's your arm?" He asked, noticing the bruise.

She looked at her arm, "It's tender but I'll be okay." She said calmly.

He nodded, "Well I got to get to class, you should to" he said making Angie nod in agreement.

"Okay, see you later I guess." She said with a soft smile.

He nodded then walked off to his class. Angie sighed then, quickly walked to her class with one minute left before the bell rung for class to start. Nessa gasped when she noticed the bruise and looked at Angie angerly.

Angie smiled, "I'll explain later, I promise." She whispered as class started and Nessa nodded. Angie noticed Nathan staring at her with anger in his eyes but, she made no effort to let him see he made her tense.
