"Alright kids," The teacher said, grabbing a chalk from her desk and walking towards the chalkboard.

"Todays topic is an interesting one." She continued; quickly jotting down 'Viral infections and how they spread.' on the blackboard.

"Its part of the COVID safety protocol booklet the school released. Im not going to bore you all with the rules, though. You can go read that in the pamphlet. My role here is to explain the science behind it all."

The class responded with a collective "oooh", showing their anticipation. Textbook science was boring in their opinion. But real life applications? Hell yeah.

"These are white blood cells." She drew a few circles on the board. "They're the- You could say, good guys."

"Now," She went on to draw another collection of circles. "These are the covid cells. They rapidly spread and try to take over your body, and reduce the amount of your red blood cells on their way. But obviously, the WBC is here for a reason. They fight off the virus. But not automatically. Its your lifestyle that will determine how well you can fight off these infections."

"Vitamin b12, proteins, poultry. Anything that doesnt consist of the stupid junk shit you guys eat nowadays. Please. Keep your body healthy, you only live once so atleast make it worth living."

Tejas leaned over to whisper to Manish.

"with that 1 packet of chips and Soda per day diet youre gonna die before covid even gets to you." He said

"Its part of my Femboy diet. Shut up" Manish replied, as they both giggled.

For around an hour the teacher continued to explain how viruses could go on to damage important tissues, organs, bla bla bla. It had turned into textbook science once again and no one was interested.

Suddenly, some of their friends from other classes burst in from the next class.

Nothing had happened. They found themselves chasing eachother down while skipping class and seems like they got lost in their fun and entered their class in the process.

In a part of that group, though, was a boy.

Short black hair, black glasses that rested on his hooked nose, with a romantic mustache. "he's so perfect, bla bla bla." Atleast thats how pranav described it.

"COME ON PRANAV, LETS RUN!" The boy said to Pranav.

"YOU ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE! " The teacher opposed as the class began filling up with laughter.

But alas, Pranav did not know any better. He held the boys hand, fingers locked, and ran out.

"BABE! WHY ARENT YOU IN CLASS?" Pranav asked as they continued to run through the coridoors shoving past teachers who tried to seperate them.

"I told you to call me Ronit in public honey buns!! There are teachers here!" The boy- No- Ronit replied.

They ran into the bathroom and finally had escaped.

They pecked and looked into eachothers eyes.

The two of them had met in grade 9. Ronit had rescued him from getting run over by a truck once. And as dramatic as it may sound, the moment they looked into eachothers eyes. It felt as if they had been teleported into a field of a thousand roses, the beautiful scent of love surrounding them and the glimmer in their eyes when they saw eachother being bright enough to illuminate the whole world.

"Lets run to the skating ring! I bought you a little gift :)" Pranav told Ronit.
