a/n: this is a story i was gonna write on my tumblr (grazillaa) but instead i'm making my debut here! it's james hetfield x my oc, louise, and it takes place in 1982 in a sort of midwest small town au sort of thingy (so much for our california boys). i think it's gonna be pretty damn long (and also filled with angst n dark stuff btw) and i also can't guarantee any sort of update schedule or anything, but i'll try to keep y'all caught up to the best of my ability <3
(another thing i should probably mention is that most of the chapter titles are song lyrics, and i'll usually have the song as the header thingy)
summary:
james hetfield moved out of his hometown of LA when he first got the chance, but for his best friend louise lovecraft, it wasn't as easy. after she decides that her life in her small shared apartment and 9 to 5 job isn't doing her any good, she asks the only person who could possibly help; her old friend james, who proposes she moves in with him and his aspiring band in Philadelphia. when she starts out it's rough everywhere, from her income situation to her on hold relationship with her old friend, and all the new relationships in between. but louise is so certain that it can only get better from here.
