a kind old relic
fabled warrior's deed path
heeding true honor
rough local reed bush
a sturdy hand guide to bare
the forest bears strong fruit
darkness clad in night
a demon's face long concealed
firm like a fortress
the old lords live on
in their graceful pacing chant
robes and feet swerve short
rooted in the man
a hired blood mercenary
ruthless and brutal
in their own small world
far from the bustling outside
tranquility near
good times and ways change
white men approach armed, deadly
sensing helpless ones
greedy dealings sure
desperation creeps around
shallow leadership
