Chapter~18~Never going back....kind of
August's POV
I ran and ran. I never wanted to go back. When I ran up to the front steps of my dad's house I rang the door bell. When the door opened the first thing I said was "You and mom are getting back together?!" "August calm down...just come inside and we can talk about this" he said calmly "NO!!....why would I?...you left mom for some piece of trash and now you guys are getting back together" I cried "August...just come insi-" "NO!!...don't ever talk to me again!" I yelled and ran down the driveway. I walked for a mile or so before I got to a park. I sat on a bench and just cried. I don't know what to do anymore. I sat there for about 10 minutes before I heard my name. "August?" I looked up and it was Kian. "Hi" I said quickly wiping my tears away. Kian walked up to me and sat next to me "What's wrong August?" he said putting his arm around my shoulder "everything..." I said looking at the ground. "August...you should be happy for your parents" he said looking at me "Why Kian?....my dad left my mom for some piece of trash and now they are getting back together" I said now looking at him. "I'm sorry August...do you want to go home?" he asked already standing up and reaching his hand out "yeah" I said standing up and grabbing it. Then we both walked home. When we got inside I saw both my parents looking at me and Kian. "Really?!?!....now you guys are following me?" I said stepping away from Kian and crossing my arms. "Honey...you don't have to be mad...me and your father are good now and there is nothing that cant change that now." she said walking up to me "Mom...I'm not mad its just that I don't want you going through that again" I said looking her in the eyes. "Trust me...that wont happen" she said smiling and giving me a hug. I let her. After my mom stepped back I walked up to my dad and gave him a hug and said "I'm sorry". After they left Kian said he had a surprise for me.
Kian's POV
When me and August got into the car I started the ignition and we drove to the park that was by the café. After I parked the car I got out and opened the car door for August to get out. When she got out I held out my hand and she took it. When we got to the park bench across the pond that we sat at on our date I got on one knee "August....I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you....will you marry me?" she just stood there looking shocked. I started to think she was going to say no but then she smiled and said "YES!!" I put the ring on her finger and we kissed. We walked around the park for about 2 hours and then we grabbed a bite at the café that was close by. When we got home me and August thought that since we are engaged that we would move into the same room. After we moved the stuff from August's room into mine we re-arranged our stuff so that there was more room for the both of us. When we were done August looked over at me and smiled "I think we did good" "Agreed" I said smiling back. After me and August fixed up the last touches we went and watched a movie.
