As Sky glanced at the unfamiliar number on his phone, a flicker of uncertainty stirred within him. Sensing his friend's unease, Hale turned to Phayu, his voice tinged with curiosity."Phayu, do you know whose number this is?" Hale asked, his brow furrowed with concern.
Phayu paused for a moment, his expression thoughtful as he considered the question. "It's Prapai's," he replied calmly, his tone steady and reassuring.
Sky's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Prapai's name, a pang of anxiety gnawing at his insides. Though he trusted Phayu implicitly, the specter of his past loomed large in his mind, casting a shadow of doubt over his thoughts.
But Prapai was his alpha, Sky reminded himself, a steadfast presence in his life who had always looked out for his well-being. And if Phayu trusted Prapai, perhaps he should too.
Taking a deep breath, Sky forced himself to push aside his doubts, his heart heavy with the weight of past hurts. With a nod of acknowledgment, he turned back to his friends, silently resolving to give Prapai the benefit of the doubt, trusting in the strength of their bond as alpha and omega.
