CHAPTER TWO : airport run-ins !

IT HAD BEEN a week since the casting call for the dork diaries adaptation was announced.

naissa was still iffy about her enemy playing her love interest but hey, that's showbiz right?

the director requested that everyone fly into vancouver a week after the email was sent.

brandy walked into her daughter's room to find her zipping up her suitcase,

"you got everything, lovebug?"

"yes, mama."

she turned around to hug her mother,

"i'm gonna miss you. especially while working with.. him."

brandy chuckled and rubbed her back, "he's not that bad, naissa. you should talk to him about it."

"don't tell me you're siding with him," naissa looked up at her mother.

"no, it's just.. you've known each other since you were little. he didnt seem like to type of person to do that. especially to you."

"if you say so."

"your dad's almost ready so go on and bring your stuff downstairs. cherry's already here too."

"okay, thank you ma." she smiled and gave her mom one last hug before grabbing her things and heading downstairs.

cherry and naissa greeted each other as if they hadn't seen each other in forever.

"you two just saw each other the other day," naissa's father, camilo, shouted from the top of the stairs.

"nuh uh, we actually haven't seen each other in two years."

"you two are so dramatic," camilo shook his head and brought his luggage downstairs.

"got everything?"

the two girls nodded.

"okay, let's go. bye honey!"

"bye, have fun!! and remember what i said, lovebug."

"i'll try, mama."

she waved and blew a kiss to her mother.

camilo, naissa and cherry packed their luggage in the car and drove off to the airport.
