Was is really.. alright for me to hope, like you said, Youjo-senpai?  Ai thought, unable to do anything but watch as the star god, Taisui Xingjun, quickly defeated the Soul Sucking Oiran and Demon Sergeant, just before he killed Yayoi. She wept, seeing the dead body of her once friend. "Youjo-senpai.." She sobbed out, looking at Yayoi. Shiniku disappeared, slowly fading back into the ground as Taisui told it to leave, leaving her to stand there, in tears.

"Why are you crying, Ai?" Taisui mocked, the deity walked up to Ai. His pale figure was extremely noticeable compared to the dark, gloomy background with crimson red blood spread everywhere on the ground. Ai dropped to her knees, weeping silently. "You.. you killed her..." She sobbed, "Why?! She didn't deserve it..!" She was cut off by Taisui's laughs. "Fufufu.. are you upset?" He asked, a smile on his face. That darned smile..

"To think, a young, eight year old girl like her died, all because of you." Taisui said, a hand lowering to grab at Ai's chin, slowly lifting Ai's head to make eye contact in a surprisingly gently manner. "She died, all because she wanted to help you, Ai." Taisui chuckled, other hand, which had Yayoi's blood on it, lowering to her face to wipe Ai's tears away, getting blood all over her cheeks. She couldn't help but weep harder. Taisui sighed, before he chuckled.

"This all was your fault in the end, Ai." He smirked, the hand that previously was wiping her tears now patting her head. "My Shikigamis already killed the other two." He laughed as Ai wept even harder. Her hands, which used to be clawing at the ground, now rose up to her face.

'Youjo-senpai,, Teach,, Eiko-chan...' Ai was a mess as the realization sunk in. "They're... all dead..." She stopped crying entirely, now staring straight at the god. She froze, eyes wide. Taisui simply smiled. "Aww~ You stopped crying now, that's good. Crying is a sign of weakness." He wiped away her tears once again, both hands lifting up to cup her cheeks.

"It was foolish to even think you deserved to hope, anyway."
