"Gasp! I'm... alive!?"
I woke up, somewhat feeling refreshed, and immediately checked my whole body.
My injured and rotted right arm has been healed for some unknown reason. My clothes were soaked with blood and tattered too, so my injuries weren't a dream. I can still remember the sensation, though. And... I got my vision back...
"Light? Where is this?"
I look around. Neatly stacked white brick, lit-up torches, spacious room, and a rusted door at the opposite corner from where I am.
I know this room. This is the 'Safe Room' within the Cemetery Dungeon. But, this room was supposed to be on the second floor of the dungeon. I was on the first floor. And I don't think that hidden passage connected to the second floor.
"I don't have my dagger..."
I tried to look for it in the room, but all I could find were rusted weapons. Thankfully, I still have my waist bag where I put my adventurer tag and money.
"This is still usable. Next, I should find the stairs to go up."
I found an axe, it's a bit rusty but still durable against skeletons. I swung it a few times to get used to its weight.
It's weird. I was so desperate to stay alive just a moment ago, but not anymore. I barely, no, I don't feel the need to be worried anymore almost like my mind is tranquil.
There was also that whisper before I lost consciousness, but I can't remember what that was.
"Alright, that's enough swinging. Let's check the hallway."
I use my left hand to open the door while readying my right hand with the axe. Now that I think about it, how long have I been unconscious? There is a possibility that I was unconscious for a week, but I don't feel hungry or thirsty.
Anyway, there might be stronger undead, so I have to stay focused.
I took the left passage. There was nothing to write about from this here on as I didn't encounter any undead. I found the staircase fairly quickly, so I went up. The stairs appear randomly all over the dungeon, and this time, they appear outside the boss' room.
You normally have to pass through the boss room, which is available on every floor, to go to the second floor and go back to the first floor from the boss room staircases or other staircases throughout the second floor. Mind you, a dungeon can be very unpredictable.
My body jolted when I saw the passage. I was on the verge of dying here but I managed to slip away from my pursuers.
"Right, they were looking for this pendant."
The pendant was dangling out when I remembered the chase. For now, I tucked it and hid it under my shirt. By the way, I still couldn't take it off of me.
"I should hide the fact that I have this pendant. What was that Templar said when he gave me this... 'Find Draga at Kinjil Mountain', I think?"
A dragon priest. A term I don't know about. But, I know where Kinjil Mountain is, the tallest mountain in the world. He said to bring the pendant to that dragon priest.
"Then, that will be my current goal. First, let's get out from-- Ah, some skeletons reach this place."
Two skeletons see and start sprinting toward me. The left one holds a greatsword and the right one holds a sword and a shield.
"It should be easy enough now."
I was wounded and poisoned before, but now I think I can destroy these skeletons with ease. Except, I can't seem to use any magic. I tried casting flame but nothing happened. That feeling was like when I didn't have enough mana to cast it, which is weird since I could use it since I was ten.
