BRIELLA
If someone had told me that I would be leaving CYPRUS FALL to a boarding school in Massachusetts I would have disagreed totally....but now here I am in my mum's marron Mustang listening to summertime sadness heading to HORIZON PREP HIGH SCHOOL, and funny part is its just for my senior year, Yeah, I know who changes school during the last year, I also wondered but a whole lot happened in the past year and trust me as much as I hated the fact that I was leaving, I was still thankful for the fact that I didn't have to come face to face again with those who broke me forever.
''sweetie, what would you like'' My mother asked we pulled over at the MCDONALD'S drive through
''I'll just have a milkshake and a churro please'' I responded to the black haired woman who looked at me with her forest green eyes....I cast my mind back to my brother Noah who looked exactly like her. I on the other hand looked like dad, I had his blue eyes and red hair, I really liked those 2 features to be honest.
''Here you go sweetie'' my mom she handed me my snacks. I put on my headphones and was about to start playing the mix which spotify had meticulously put together for me when I heard my mom speak
'' I thought you would have ordered chocolate chip ice cream, you always loved it''
'' I don't just have the appetite to eat it today mom, I'm good with this'' I assured her with a small smile which she returned as she took a sharp turn right.
I could see the huge school gate in all its glory and ambience, it was really a preppy school.
'' I really hope you give Horizon a chance Gabby, I know its hard but its for the best, promise me you will give it a try'' My mom said as she placed her hands on mine. I gave her a small nod hoping that will pass enough message that I was willing to try. I was really thankful for the fact that when I was alone her and dad didn't give up on me, I'm sure they went through a lot to get me into this school. I was not ready to let them down now, not when a lot was on the line.

We were headed to my room in Avalon house with a certain miss Evelyn leading the way. She had accompanied us from the principals office.. Mr Doherty kept insisting I be on my best behavior because he bent all the way backwards before I could get admitted given the terms on which my expulsion from my previous school was. I let out a sigh just thinking about how long this semester was going to be when Miss Evelyn stopped at a door with the number 103 Engraved on it.
Miss Evelyn knocked and we were shortly accompanied by a dark haired figure about 5'3 tall, she had very prominent Grey pupils and she wore a pair of anti-blue glasses. She was actually a beautiful sight to behold
"Afternoon Miss Evelyn, You two must be MRS Jefferson and Gabriella. It's my pleasure to meet you both,Do come in" she said as she gave way for us to enter.
"Gabriella I'm sure you would have a wonderful stay with Roseline. She is a wonderful student with the best of manners. Mrs Jefferson I assure you have nothing to worry about" Miss Evelyn said at a stretch.
"Gabby darling...I hate to say this buy I'll need to be on my way if I want to reach home before dark" my mom said while opening her hands for a hug....
"Oww come on you know you want the hug" mom added with a smile on her face which made me grin as I went over to be swallowed in her warm embrace.

Soon enough I and roseline were left in the room. She wanted to start small talk but I was definitely not in the mood for that right now.. I put my head phones on and went straight to instagram..
I was so engrossed in a particular post about astrology that I didn't know when My phone was yanked out of my hand.
"Hey, what gives" I complained as I took my B39 headphones off to look at the slightly angry Roseline in front of me
"What gives is that I'm trying to speak to you and you plugging your ears isn't helping. Look I'm an easy going person,I know you might not want to relate with me but atleast we are roommates we have to know each other a bit" the angry little girl said at a stretch
Her persistence really caught my attention for real. It actually made me smile and say
"My name is Gabriella Rochelle Jefferson, Whats yours?"
I saw a wide grin form on her faceTime passed as we kept talking.. I don't know how Roseline did it but I actually was enjoying the talk... she chipped me in on all the happening in Horizon and some of the rules..she was an Art student but she still had a lot of details on science students..
"Uhm, Briella, upon your arrival the school gossip blog wrote an article about you. Saying you were expelled from your previous school cause you burnt down the auditorium.... is it true?
Cause if it isn't I can help you bring it down." Rose Said sounding genuine
I wasn't in the mood to think back about what happened but I couldn't ignore her."Can we ignore that for now please....I'll speak about it later"
"Alright,If you say so I'll just— she was abruptly cut of by the sound of her phone ring she went to pick it up
I could see her nod and say okay a couple of times but what caught my attention was when she said
"I'm bringing a new friend over" and looked at me with a grin before she finally said
"Let's get you ready for the first party of senior year"
"What!
*************************
"What do you mean, a party" I said looking at Roseline going through my box looking for something party worthy.
"I mean a party, so the seniors of the sch always organize this party for the beginning of the semester and now its our time to enjoy the party" Roseline said as she found a perfect skater dress of perfect lenght and raised it up. I just rolled my eyes and Said
"Aren't you supposed to be the perfect student. How come you are taking me out for an illegal party on my first day."
"Cut me some slack Brie and let's get ready" she said throwing me the dress and grinned widely..In about an hour I and Roseline where out of Avalon house and on the side walk walking down to the party.
