Eventually, news had reached the Alexandrians that a horde could potentially be making their way there and they were forced to take refuge in an abandoned hospital dubbed as the tower.
They had been there for a few days already, Xander left Corina with Rhea and Gabriel while, he and Daryl went out to scout.
Rhea wanted to be with her daughter right now more than everything, especually after everything that happened and Xander was okay with it. Because he prefer for her to be somewhere safe right now than out here.
Of course, things were tough for the survivors. They were only managing with what little they had and to them, it was important that they brought back some game as well if they spotted any - however, with the activity around the area that was proving extremely hard.
The Grimes man and the Dixon man had wandered through the woods that bordered Alexandria, Xander stopped Daryl upon hearing the familiar sounds of hungry groans. It was no surprise that the horde had reached Alexandria. He exchanged a worried glance with Daryl.
"They're near." He told him.
"Alright." Daryl took out the radio from his pocket.
Michonne had not yet returned and they were praying that she was within the vicinity to hear their warning. She'd no idea what was going to be happening to their home. That was a consequence of negan killing The alpha.
"Don't go home." he began "They'll only find us if you answer me. We got a plan to end this. One I think you'd like. Man being on the run like this, barely scraping by... reminds me of the old gang. Seems like ages now. Michonne? Can you hear me? Michonne?"
Xander sighed and he shook her head "Come on, let's check around some more."
Daryl let out a small grunt of approval, following after his daughter's husband as they scouted more of the area. There was nothing much out of the ordinary, except kicked up ground by potential walkers stumbling throughout the forest.
A snarl that was louder than the others had attracted their attention, Daryl creeped towards it until the sound of a sword unsheathing caused them to raise their brows and trail after it.
Within a few meters, Xander could already spot the familiar sheriff's hat, shaking his head as he figured Judith had taken it upon herself to take a trip outside the tower. It was clear the girl didn't like being there - it didn't remind her of the home she was used to. At all.
"Judith." Daryl voiced out to her, moving closer as he could see she'd taken down a walker "What're you doing?"
"I'm fine." She insisted.
Xander sighed "You know you're not meant to be out here on your own. We know you can handle yourself-" He immediately reminded "But what if you get caught up in a group of walkers?"
Daryl frowned "You not with anyone?"
"Corina it's not here right?" Xander asked her looking around for his daughter.
