SEVERAL WEEKS LATER
It's been thirty days since the communities first had heard about the Commonwealth. There was a lot of talking and a lot of discussions between Athena and her family about that place.
She did not trust it. Not at all. But she knew that her daughter needed some kind of normality in her life and somehow Commonwealth could give her that. So Athena, Jisung and Changbin talked and they decided for the younger brother to go to that place with Corina and Angel, while the couple built up Hilltop again. And once that happens Athena will bring her family back home in no time.
The Grimes and Han families had been in Commonwealth for a few weeks now, and it was Halloween. When they were first taken to the community, Jisung and Daryl were questioned for hours and then went into processing before they were finally approved. The questions were irritating to Jisung, having the same two people asked the same questions over and over again.
The Commonwealth was celebrating Halloween with a festival with activities for the children and adults. People were wearing costumes, including Angel, Corina and Judith. Judith was a witch, Angel was the red riding hood and Corina was a fairy.
Daryl, Jisung and the kids were currently walking through a haunted house, which seemed to frighten the kids, except Angel, who looked like she'd rather be anywhere else but there in that moment. The kids were walking slowly in front of Daryl, Angel and Jisung, hands holding tightly.
Halfway through it, walkers banged against the walls, snarling and growling at them as they walked. The door at end of the hall opened and walked out a walker. The actor stumbled towards them, causing RJ to find behind Corina and clutched a handful of her dress, scared.
Daryl held out his hand and said "Hey, man, that's... that's enough."
"No problem, man." The man smiled as he let them pass.
They walked out of the haunted house, Corina grabbed RJ's hand, as they walked.
"Do you want to see the animals, RJ?"
He nodded, smiling "Yeah."
They walked towards the Zoo, where they were greeted by Ezekiel, who opened to gate and let them inside. Corina lead her little cousin over to one of the baby goats, carefully petting the animal before her brother pet it. They listened to Ezekiel talking about each other the animals.
Meanwhile Jisung, Angel and Daryl were talking with Carol, by the candy store where she works.
"So what you guys think?" She asked them.
Jisung shook his head "It takes a minute to get used to all this, you know?"
Carol nodded "You know, this place was up and running long before we ever got here. Maybe we don't have to do anything to make it work." She explained them.
