CHAPTER 1: 2023

It was the season of monsoon in Mumbai and it was raining
cats and dogs everywhere. Dev, who was working for a
corporate company was always late for the office. He was
working in Andheri and used to stay in malad, so it would
take him around 30-40 minutes to reach by metro. In metro
while travelling, he used to take his medications and do some
work as well. Everyday, while walking by the metro
intersection bridge, he used to pass by a women and was
attracted to her instantaneously. One day, he was late as usual
and was in a hurry and suddenly on that intersection bridge he
bumped into that women to whom he was attracted. They both
got into a fight on that bridge and both walked away in the
opposite direction with rage.
Same night, Dev was surfing through tinder and was in a look
for a date. As he was surfing, he came across the women with
whom he got into a fight. He thought for a minute, looked at
her profile and swiped right on her and for his surprise Tania
also swiped right on Dev and both decided to go out on a date.
3 days later, Dev and Tania met at a restaurant in Andheri.
Dev before entering the restaurant took a medicine out of the
pocket and ate. They both greeted each other and Tania
popped up with a question.
"Dev, why did u swipe right on me knowing that we got into a
fight the same day?"
"To be honest, I used to see you almost everyday passing by
me on that so I took this as a chance to end that fight" he said.
"ohhh stalker!!!" Tania exclaims.
They both start laughing and enjoy their night. In the next
couple days, they often used to meet and go to parties, date,
movies. Soon they were very open with each other and Tania
asks Dev about his medications that he used to take constantly
but he avoids the question. Dev makes Tania meet his parents
as he calls her for dinner at his house.
"You make a good couple!" Dev's mom jokes.
Dev and Tania look at each other and laugh.
One day , Dev was working overnight and he was late to
reach home. That day he was feeling a little strange as Tania
was not picking up his calls. He was in a cab, on his way to
home and he saw tania from his cab window. HE STOPPED
THE CAB AND GOT OUT. Dev was in shock as he saw
Tania was with another guy. Dev was devastated and in rage
went to Tania to confront her. He pulled Tania's hand and in
pain asked her,
"WHAT! WHAT DID I DO WRONG?!?"
"Don't create a scene over here, infront of others.
" Tania said.
"WHY NOT! JUST ANSWER MY DAMN QUESTION."
"DON'T YOU SEE. I DON'T FEEL THE SAME FOR YOU
AS YOU FEEL. YES, YES I FELT HAPPY WITH YOU
BECAUSE I HAD A BREAKUP BEFORE MEETING YOU,
AND THANKYOU FOR MAKING ME FORGET MY EX
BUT NOW I AM FINE" Tania shouts.
Listening to this, Dev throws his medication and goes from
there. Tania tries to stop Dev but he just leaves. Dev cries and
cries and writes a letter. He folds the letter and on envelop, he
writes, "To Tania"
.
As he completes writing the letter, Tania was at his house and
his parents were in shock to see her. She runs to Dev's room,
opens the door, and hugs Dev tightly,
"I love you Dev! I know you hate me now but today I felt my
importance and all thanks to you." Tania exclaims.
"I love you too Tania!!" Dev also confeses and both tightly
hug each other. Dev takes the letter and locks it in his drawer.
