vera and arlet were currently getting ready in vera's room for a party. while vera was putting on her heels, arlet was sitting in front of a mirror on the floor finishing her makeup.
to be absolutely honest with you, she was totally stressing! now don't get me wrong, arlet loves parties-i mean, she adores them. so that's not the reason why she's stressing. neither is it because of her outfit or her makeup, but because she's going to a party. with matt. as his "girlfriend."
people might think that she may be overreacting and that this is definitely not a big deal, but to her, it is.
this is going to be the worst day of her life.
"this is going to be the worst day of my life," arlet groans, blending in her concealer. "like, i'll be in my deathbed by midnight, i swear."
vera chuckles at the girl sitting on the floor in front of her. "you're exaggerating, arlie-you're not going to be in your deathbed by midnight," she tells her.
"exactly," arlet turns around to look at vera, agreeing with her. "i'll be dead when i see him because i just know he'll be a fucking dickhead all night."
"you'll be fine, arlet. i don't know why you're stressing over this so much," vera reassures her overly dramatic friend. "like, is this really such a terrible favor to do for someone?"
"bro, no-vera, you actually don't get it. how would feel if you had to act as the girlfriend of someone you hate?" arlet asks her.
vera sighs, of course arlet just had to put vera in her shoes. "i mean, i'd obviously be irritated about it, but i really don't think that it's something to be stressing this much over."
"no-yeah, you're right. i just need to calm down and i'll be fine."
once everyone had finally finished getting ready, the group had arrived to the house party. no one really knew the guy hosting the party except for theo.
