Chapter One

Nicolas' POV

"Evelyn!" I groaned, I hadn't seen her for a while, expecting for her to get bored of my eighteenth birthday. I really wanted to see her, lying in the bed and held her closer to me got me burning in desire.

"Calm down big brother." Samantha, Evelyn's little sister chuckled lightly. "Your inner beast is showing."

I smiled at her, "Will what can I say, Sam? I love her, besides," I patted her head, "How's it going with my brother?"

Her face lighten up into shades of red. "Uh, Conner and I, uh...kissed."

"One kiss from him got you blushing like this, he is an lucky man." I laughed gently. We talked as we searched the house trying to find Evelyn, until I spotted my brother's bedroom door open. I smirked. "Wouldn't hurt if we check up on him, right?"

"Maybe Evelyn is in there." Sam quickly changed the subject as she pushed the door open.

Two shadows were sitting on Conner's bed. The bouquet in my hands dropped to the cold floor. The flower pedals dissolved just like my feelings.

"Con..Conner?" Samantha's voice came out no more than an squeak. I couldn't believe my eyes.

It was Evelyn who was sitting next to him!
"It's not what it seems!" She jumped out of her bed naked as she reached for me.

I flinched away, despite the hurt look in her eyes.

"We woke to found ourselves like this, I swear!" Conner tried to explain. But I wasn't listening.

"I thought we had something, Evelyn, but it seems I am wrong." I yelled in rage, "Not only did you cheated on me, you also hurt your little sister!"

"I..." Tears formed in her eyes, but I didn't care. I trusted her with all my life and this is what she did to me.

"We are over." And I stormed out of the bedroom, leaving them behind.

Five years later...

Samantha's POV

"Ms.Perez, there's a man asking for you." My assistant told me. I raised my eyebrows and settle my papers on my desk. "Let him in."

She nodded and open the door. My eyes widen. Oh my gosh, could it be..

"Hello, Sam."

I screamed in delight and ran up to my best friend, giving him an big squeeze. "What brought you here, Nicolas? I haven't seen for five years."

"I just wanted see my beautiful angel." He shrugged. I smiled at the handsome man standing in front of me. He still had that beautiful blue eyes that glamoured in intelligence. But I couldn't quite explain the pain I am having. His eyes reminded me so much of his brother, and my first love.
I quickly shook the thought away and smiled at him.

"What a charm," I let go of him and noted for him to sit down. "Now tell me the truth, what brought you here Nicolas?"

"You haven't heard about it yet?" His eyebrows raised, "I am planning to start a new hotel. And my father believe the best choice for planning it is your family's company."

"That's great!" I squealed in excitement, "Working with you would be a pleasure!"

He sighed, "But I am stuck with your sister, she is doing the planning. I believe you and my brother is working on the activities we are going to have."

My heart sinked. Conner? I am stuck with Conner? My heart started to beat faster. Don't gave a damn about him, Sam. I told myself, he hurt you.

"But don't you see, Sam? This is an opportunity!" He gave me an dark smile. I realized that he wasn't the old Nicolas I known. The light in his eyes were gone. My sister had hurt him badly.

"We can start our revenge, we can hurt them the way they did to us. We can make them go on their knees and never get up again."

"I.." I hesitated, after the incident, my sister had tried to explain me that she didn't know what happen, and tried her best to please me. She even let me control parts of her business and told me I can do whatever I want with it.

"Don't play games, Sam. You know deep down you hated them both. And this is our time to have our revenge." Nicolas said darkly.

What he said was true. I can never forgive my sister for sleeping with Conner and he letting her.

"How are we going to do it?"

He smiled. "The ball, we are having a grand fest with you, and they both are going to be there. You have to pretend we are in love." Then he winked at me, "I am sure that's not hard."

I laughed, maybe I will do this. Not hurting no them completely but make them realized the mistake they have made.

I debated with my inner self. "Sounds like a plan." I nodded at him.

Nicolas checked his watch, "Shit, I have to go. A meeting to catch."

He handed me an small bag, "Bye Sam." And he exited my office.
