Max Verstappen Pov

I was at the window in Red Bull hospitality looking at the paddock when I saw Luna walking past with Arthur. She gives me a small smile when she sees me before following Arthur again. They must go to the Ferrari motorhome so they can go see Charles

"Hey is everything ok?" I was distracted watching her walk around the paddock with Arthur until they left my field of vision, and the voice took me out of that distraction

When I look back, I see that the voice belongs to Aurora, a girl who is in love with me and that my father forced me to bring with me this weekend. I didn't want to since I knew this was giving her hope even though she already knew I didn't feel the same

Since that summer 2 years ago with Luna I haven't been able to get her out of my head and now that I saw her in the paddock I'm sure I'll think about her even more than before. I know that no one knows that we had a summer love because otherwise her brothers would have come to talk to me about it. I answer her

"Yes, I'm just looking at the paddock and seeing the people passing by" Which isn't entirely a lie

"FP1 is about to start in a few minutes. You better get ready" She informs me by putting her hand on my arm

"Yes I better get going" I say and start walking out of hospitality towards the garage

I enter the garage and focus on FP1. I get in the car and go to the track. FP1 didn't go very well for me as the car was having some problems and I finished in 10th place. My mood didn't improve when I saw Aurora with a disappointed face and saying that I could have done much better than that even though she knew that the car couldn't do much more then that as it was having some issues

I didn't say anything and simply left the garage to go to my interviews before I said something I shouldn't have and regretted it later. When leaving my garage, I saw Charles, Luna, and Arthur accompanying him to the media pen. I realized then that she would be there with him

His FP1 went well as he finished in 2nd place. Ferrari has an upgrade this weekend, and it seems that here in Monaco it's paying off. I went to them

"Hey. Congratulations on 2nd place. The car looks great with the new upgrade" I congratulate him with a smile on my face as I'm happy for him

"Thanks Max. Max, this is my twin sister Luna and Luna. This is Max, my rival on the track and one of my best friends off the track" He introduced us

She moved her head to greet me. I realize she did it because she didn't know if I wanted them to know that we already knew each other. I did the same as her

"You can come have lunch with us after the media pen if you want" Charles says, still excited to have her there and that the car upgrade is working

"Yes, of course, thank you. I need a break from Aurora, she had the nerve to say that I could have done better even though she knew like me and the team that the car couldn't do much more then that because of some issues. When she said that, my mood worsened even more" I said with a slightly upset and annoyed tone

Charles laughed since he knew she had feelings for me, but I didn't have for her since I told him that before. We said our goodbyes when we reached the media pen. Today or this weekend, I'm going to try to see if I can catch Luna alone so we can talk alone, and I also can't wait to have lunch with them in an hour or so
