Past lives

Background and backstory

the sun shone bright over Dallas Texas. At the time we were investigating a building collapse in the area after an earthquake five days earlier I was with my owner we were looking over the scene before we heard whimpering coming from under a wall so i told my owner Ryder and he was confused so we tried to left the wall before we tried to feel around underneath the wall before.

Ryder shouts "i feel something" so we grab it and pull before we hear screaming like it was in pain so we pull it out it looked to be dead a brownish coloured dog with slightly dark brown spots but he looked to be in a lot of pain and you could see why. his leg was ripped open see you could see the bone bleeding all over with bruise and cut marks he looked like he hadn't eaten for 5 days he had gone unconscious from all the pain so we picked him up and drove him to the hospital.

The doctor said "its not looking good he may die we are doing everything we can but i can't guarantee he will make it and if he dose survive he will be unconscious for around 1 day" the doctor left and asked Ryder if he was all right. Ryder looked sad before saying "i don't know" we waited for hours before the doctor said "great news his fine and will make a full recovery" i barked in happiness  as Ryder said "we found him under a building near the city centre" the doctor looked and said "well since he doesn't have a family or home hell have to go to the pound" before Ryder jumped in a said "i'll adopt him" then the doctor asked for his full name Ryder Thompson he said. 

The doctor scribbled something on his paper before handing him the paper work sign here the doctor said before Ryder signed it before handing it back then the doctor said these is prove he's yours keep it before darting of to the other room it toke a bit before we saw the dog again still unconscious we left the hospital and drove back to Ontario Canada to our little town of adventure bay we drove to a big tower on the edge of town before stopping Ryder took the unconscious pup out of the back of the car a took him inside we waited for what seemed forever until.

his eyes shoot open with a level of fear i have never seen before his bright blue eyes looked terrified before he shouted in a panic "where am i" Ryder answered calmly its okay calm down the pups eyes darting around the room before Ryder gently said "your in adventure bay" he slowly started to calm down  Ryder than introduced us "i'm Ryder and this is Chase" before i replied "hello i'm Chase a German Shepherd" Ryder asked "whats your name" the pup replied "Marshall i'm Dalmatian" Chase gave me a confused look before replying "what happened to your fur" then i looked at myself in a mirror before i jumped back Ryder than cut in saying that i might need to clean the dust off.

it was past seven pm when Ryder said for us to go to bed i walked in to the tower when i saw a dog bed chase was on one side and i got on the other before i felt my eyes get heaver and i slowly drifted off to sleep that night i had heard screams as people died and i was to late to save them i woke with a jolt almost waking Chase i got up an went the beach it was late when i saw something bobbing in the water i couldn't see much from the shore but it was brown so i went and got Ryder we went back to the beach and Ryder used a telescope before grabbing hes water jet and going towards it he grabbed it and came back to shore.

i asked him what it was and he said with shock "it's a Labrador" it's fur was chocolate brown and he was unconscious  we took him back to the lockout where Ryder took him to bed with him and we all went back to sleep.

A/N this is my first book feed back is great and thanks to skylover14 and storm0981 for inspiring me to do this i will take some things from your books but will change it if you have any suggestions please let me know thanks sorry it was a short chapter there is more coming in the future.
