Ukraine layed her head in Australia's lap. She looked up into his brilliant, brave gaze. "Australia.. you're so handsome."
Australia blushed slightly. He looked down at her. "And you, Ukraine, are a beauty capable of many things." He closed his eyes, and smiled.
Ukraine nodded slightly. Suddenly, she remembered a topic she was hesitant to bring up earlier. She coughed quietly, and took a breath. "Aussie.. you do know that I'll be leaving soon. Not even.. not even two hours more with you and I'll be on a plane back to homeland." Ukraine began to tear up. She didn't want to leave, but she didn't have much a choice.
Australia acknowledged the statement, and nodded. "Ahh, Ukraine.. two hours, you say?" Ukraine nodded. "Well, we must make the best of it, right mate?" He lowered his head down, and kissed her forehead.
With the kiss on the forehead, Ukraine sat up and wrapped her arms around Aussie's neck. "I love you, you little wanker.. hehe.." Ukraine chuckled, and leaned in to kiss him.
After a short timespan, dusk fell upon the small country of Australia.
The two walked down the street in silence. Ukraine held her bags, and was on the brink of tears. Through sniffles, she spoke. "Australia, I love you.. I don't want this moment to be over, but dreams don't last forever, do they.."
Australia bit his lip. Inside, he was prepared to sob. On the inside, though, he was staying tough. He knew he had no other option. He thought. "They say the saying goes 'Sometimes, people need you to be strong for them. Sometimes, you have to look tough, rather than be tough.' I will look tough now, and only break when I know she is okay.." He continued to walk in silence.
Eventually, the two appeared at the airport. Ukraine looked over at Australia. "Aussie.." She dropped her bags and wrapped him in her arms. "I'll miss you. I hope you know that."
Australia nodded, and released his lip to whisper a little saying to Ukraine.
"Listen, Ukraine. Sometimes.. it sucks to say goodbye."
Time came, and Ukraine departed back to her homeland.
Australia walked back in the wispy night, the corners of his mouth lifted. He whispered. "Sometimes.. you have to look strong."
