KATE
"Why is no one listening to me?" I yell looking furiously between Jenson's brothers. "We have to go now, right now and get him. You don't know what Gabriel's like."
We're all now in Kits office, I'm still in my blood-stained wedding dress but thankfully Harper and Jenna have taken my kids away upstairs to keep them safe as I try and convince Kit and Taylor on how best to get Jenson back.
But it appears my point of view isn't worth much.
"We need to plan this properly, to make sure it goes efficiently as possible. Rushing in unprepared would be a mistake." Taylor explains as he holds up a map that I recognise as the Alaskan territory where White Claw resides.
"No." I yell. "There's no time for this. Take me, I will show you how to get in. There are things about his lands you don't know. He has traps..."
"Absolutely not, you're to stay here." Alpha Christian growls as my fists clench up angrily. "Our planes leave at first light in the morning to transport the warriors."
"That's too late." I sob out with frustration. "Please, I know these wolves, I know these lands. Let-me-help."
"I agree with Kit, you should stay here. Jenson wouldn't want you anywhere near White Claw or its Alpha." Taylor says seriously as tears of anger fill my eyes.
"He's going to kill him. Do you understand?!" I scream. "We can't wait till the morning to act."
"Enough!" Roars the Alpha banging his fist on his desk, his eyes molten gold making me jump back a step. "Do you think I don't know this? Trust me, I know what trouble my little brother is in, and I will do everything in my power to bring him home, so his head isn't delivered to me in a fucking box. So, go back to your suite, Kate and we'll handle this."
With large tears running down my face, I shake my head with frustration with them both before turning on my heels and running out of the Alpha's office. Slamming the door closed, I break my heart out crying in the corridor. The tight and constricting wedding dress makes it hard for me to breathe as my racing heart thunders in my chest.
Jenson, I can't lose him. I just can't.
And I won't.
Slowly looking up, I see myself in the mirror and barely recognise who's looking back at me. Clawing at my hair, I rip out the tight pins that's giving me a headache as I can't think straight with them in before letting my red locks tumble away. Turning towards Jenson's wing of the pack house, I start to tear at the back of my dress and unravel the criss-crosses helping me to breathe better as the corset top finally loosens and I dash quickly up the stairs of the mansion.
Charging past the four warriors stationed at my door who all look down at me with surprise to see my shoddy appearance I throw open my suite door to find Harper, Jenna and my pups at the table eating as they all turn around to look at me.
"Kate, are you... ok?" Harper says getting up from her seat, looking me over.
Kicking off my dress, so I am just standing in my slip. My hands tremble with all the emotions running through me. I look to my two kids who I love so much and only want the best for as a plan starts to formulate in my head.
I could just stay here and do as I'm told... keep running away from Gabriel and hiding from him... but he's never going to stop hunting us.
Jenson was right; Gabriel doesn't get to win this time.
"I need your help." I say firmly looking at Jenna and Harper before jutting up my chin to show how serious I am. "Because I'm going after Jenson."
