It's a Friday afternoon and a young woman steps into the ladies section of the masjid. She goes to the first row and places her purse down to pray Tahiyyat Al-Masjid (2 rakaat sunnah when entering the masjid).
After she was finished, she sat down and the Azaan started. Once it was called there was a few minutes until the khutba starts.
An elderly man walked to the podium and started with the beautiful khutba about forgiveness and the love that Allah (swt) has for us.
He talks about Surah Ali' Imran, how Allah says "Say, [O Muhammad], 'If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.'" (Quran 3:31)
After the khutba was finished the elder man, gave a dua and then the iqama was called. Everyone started standing up and filling in the gaps in the lines. A man from one of the lines stepped forward and started by raising his hands, saying "Allahu Akbar".
She recognizes a familiar voice, as he reads surah Al-Fatihah. The next surah he reads is surah An-Najm, meaning "The Star".
Tears start falling one by one from her cheek, listening to the beautiful recitation smiling, knowing that it's her favorite surah. Having Salatul-Jummah finished minutes later, a group of elderly women behind her sitting in chairs start talking to each other.
One of the woman saying, "Mashallah his voice, I wonder who was the imam today?" The young woman turns behind and says proudly, " It's my husband".
