"It's fun isnt it?" you spoke, grinning wider than ever
He just nods. He seems to have adjusted to the board and is picking up speed fast, even though he doesn't seem to be trying that hard. "...Yeah. It is." he replied back.
You started to skate before him, your hair dancing to the wind and a grin spread across your face.
He on the other hand is seemingly impressed and envious by the way you skate. He keeps up with you though, skating beside you calmly as his speed matches yours. He still looks like he isn't trying very much at all.
"...You're a very good skater." he commented.
"You think so? It's my dream to be the world's number 1 skater" you grinned again, pleased by the compliment.
He nods, seeming to sense your passion towards skating "With your skill, I think you can achieve that dream soon enough." He then gives you a friendly smile of encouragement and approval of your skating. Those simple words of encouragement send you a feeling you couldn't explain. Some weird sensation inside your stomach.
"That means a lot to me"
He gives a nod, acknowledging your appreciation, "If you don't mind my asking, how long have you been skateboarding for?"
"Since I was small."
He takes note of this information which he finds interesting "I see. So you've always been interested in skating since you were a kid."
"Yeah. Well, you said you aren't from here right?" you spoke
He nods, answering your question "Yeah. I'm not from here. I'm travelling around right now."
"You with someone?"
He shakes his head, implying he is not with anyone, "No. Traveling alone."
"Same here"
He looks at you, now slightly interested at this, "Really? You're travelling alone?"
"Yeah. I dont have anyone else to travel with"
He nods, seeming to process this information, "Well, in that case I can relate. I also have nobody to come along with me on my travels."
"Got a family or something?"
He seems to falter at this particular question, seemingly a bit hesitant with answering it, "I did have a family."
He is silent for a bit, taking a breath before speaking, "What about you? Do you have a family?"
''I dont have one" you replied, smile faltering a bit.
He seems to understand your situation now. He also senses a bit of sympathy for you as he speaks, "Are you an orphan?"
"My parents are alive, but they dont want me"
His eyebrows raise in surprise. He speaks quietly, still feeling a small sense of sympathy for you.
"Your parents don't want you?"
"Yeah. For a royal family, a princess who skates is an embarrassment"
He seems surprised at the information that you are actually a Princess. He also starts to see things more clearly now. "You're a Princess?"
"not now. And keep it a secret between us ok?"
He gives a slight nod, agreeing to keep your secret with him. He also understands your want for privacy.
"Of course. I won't spill the beans. Don't worry."
You gave back a grin in response and speeds up more
He speeds up a bit more after noticing you accelerating your speed. He seems to have noticed that he now has to increase his speed to prevent you from passing him. He seems to be enjoying the friendly competition
"Think you can beat me Cora?" you ask. Since Corazon was too long, you shortened his name
He seems slightly amused by the fact that you shortened his name. He speaks with a slightly low and cocky tone, sounding sure of his capabilities
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure I can beat you."
"Let's see then"
