"Jeongguk?" The owner of the Velvet cafe, Kim Seokjin, called for Jeongguk.
"Would you look up for the rest of the things? I've somewhere to be." Seokjin asked Jeongguk, to which he replied with a small nod.
He has been working in the cafe for 2 years now as a side hustle to save some money for his future.
Kim Seokjin is the only one he could rely on after Yoongi, his childhood friend. They have been friends for a long time, but he would still not open up to them bout anything.
His father is barely making any money. All he does is gamble and drink and accuse him of his wife left him because of him.
His father would constantly force him to get the allowance offered by his mother as compensation to be not able to look after him. Look after him? Not everything can be make up with money, definitely not relations.
"Don't forget to take that with you. Okay?" Seokjin said while wiggling his eyebrows passing a cheeky grin. A series of giggles left his mouth.
Jeongguk looked at the counter, glancing at the cotton candies lying abandoned. It was given by some girls who visited the cafeteria. They were swooning over him the moment their eyes caught a sight of him.
Who the fuck eats cotton thingy these days, he pondered shaking his head.
After attending everything, he picked up those cotton thingy thoughtlessly, walking out of the cafe after locking it. He looked at the cotton thingy in his hands for a second. Nevermind, he'd just throw them away in his way.
He took a step forward, suddenly colliding with a body smaller than him making him almost fall. He held the person's waist steadying both of them.
"Watch where you're going." Jeongguk almost cursed at the person as he shoved him away.
"I-im sorry."
A frowned appeared on jeongguk's face as he fastened his gaze at the familiar figure.
There he saw, Kim Taehyung panting. It looked like he was running for quite sometimes. Jeongguk watched his face twisting in pain, one hand holding his knees and the other resting on jeongguk's bicep.
He looked up as he heard the creaking noise of people's shoe holding DSLR cameras in their hands, stalking here and there.
Before their eyes can seize them, he held taehyung's delicate waist swiftly, turning and hiding him from them at the back of the shop.
His giant figure almost covered taehyung's lean and slender body as he watched the paparazzis still searched for taehyung.
"Hey, aren't you my boyfriend's friend? I saw you sitting with him the other day." Jeongguk knitted his brows, hearing him but not bothering to spare a glance at him.
"I also saw you in one of my lecture classes, but I don't rem-"
"Can you fucking shut-" Jeongguk couldn't complete his words as his fierce black eyes met the soft baby blue orbs looking up at him like a lost puppy. His long lashes touching his rosy cheeks as he blinks. Their faces mere centimeters apart.
Jeongguk's one hand resting beside taehyung's head on the wall and the other one on the side of his waist. Taehyung's small hand clutched the front of his hoodie with the intention to steady himself.
"I-i think I sprained my ankle." Taehyung's meek whisper broke his stance as he backed away to create some distance between them.
"And why the fuck do you think a celeb should walk around not having a mask on or without a bodyguard." Jeongguk rolled his eyes.
"Go home" Jeongguk took steps to leave.
Taehyung held jeongguk's hoodie more tightly as a sharp pain shooted down his leg.
"I don't have my phone with me. Can I borrow yours? I'll make a quick call." Taehyung muttered.
Taehyung forwarded the phone back to jeongguk after dialing his brother to pick him up.
His eyes sparkled as it falls on the cotton candy in jeongguk's hand watching it longingly.
Jeongguk followed his gaze, he forwarded them towards taehyung offering him. He was gonna throw them anyway.
Taehyung's pupils dilated as he peered up at jeongguk's and then at his hand as he internally squealed taking the cotton candies and immediately shoving them in his mouth.
"H-hey, can you stay until my brother comes to pick me up?"
"Please?"
"No," Jeongguk held taehyung's hand fisting his hoodie to unclench it as he walked past taehyung.
His steps halted as he heard the sniffling sound. He turned around to find taehyung sitting on the floor holding his sprained ankle as he thrusted some cotton candy into his mouth as his face flushed with silent tears looking at him. He looked adorable.
Jeongguk rolled his tongue inside his cheeks as he cursed under his breath, opening the cafeteria.
He gestured taehyung to enter, rolling his eyes as he watched him struggling to get up.
He went near him, picking him up in bridal style. Taehyung peaked at his face through his wet lashes, wrapping his arms around jeongguk's neck.
"Look straight"
Taehyung's face flushed as he adverts his gaze in embarrassment.
Jeongguk kicked the door open, carrying him to the couch.
"Here, wrap it around your ankle," Jeongguk said, handing him a crepe bandage.
"Thank you."
"No-no, wrap it the other way." Taehyung looked at him confused as Jeongguk took the bandage from his hand.
"You really are a walking trouble." Jeongguk shook his head as he continued putting the bandage around taehyung's ankle kneeling in front of him as he kept his foot on his thigh.
"Do you mind if I ask your name?" Taehyung said lowly.
"Yes, I do. Now go home, your brother's here." Jeongguk said toneless-ly as he heard the honk of the car.
Taehyung's lips puckered in a pout as he pointed at the counter. "Can I have those, too?"
Jeongguk gave him the packet of M&Ms. He watched taehyung giggling at the candies.
He finally shut the cafeteria after taehyung deserted out with his brother.
He feet halted as he picked up the earring lying on the floor. They were taehyung's. He saw the same looking pair of earrings in his ears previously. They might have fallen when they bumped into each other.
He put it in his hood pocket securely, as he walked to his apartment.
