𝟎𝟏:𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐦 ⟢ 我 𝚙𝚘𝚟
I had just gone out after waking up quite late to buy some ingredients from my friend Sara who started working in 'Good Hunter' not too long ago for some extra cash. Sara was very keen on cooking but for a professional cooking course she would have to save up some money and only then would she be allowed to work in an actual restaurant as a chef. After a good 3 minutes of walking back to my house i had reached it, took off my shoes, washed my hands with hand soap and tied my hair up before searching for my families simple vanilla cake recipe.

All of my ingredients were spread up on the counter in the right order and i got to work keeping in mind that my parents were coming back from their monthly business trip in an hour and a half. I carefully and thoroughly followed the recipe's instructions and when i realised i was done with the cake bater i put it in a simple rectangle shaped pan before putting it in our black oven and letting it bake for 45 minutes exactly.

*𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐤* 4 minutes after frosting my cake i heard someone knock on the door. I checked the time and i was 100% sure that it was my parents, i already knew they were probably tired so i told myself to try
and be quieter until Tuesday, at least since i didn't want them screaming at me for talking too much now. I opened the door to see my parents with these intense and happy grins plastered across their faces, im not gonna lie i was kind of hoping that they would give me some money or a gift but before i could even react they both exclaimed. "𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗱𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿!"

I was clearly stunned by their words and i even started wondering if i had forgotten that it was my birthday or something but that obviously wasn't the case. The two shorter individuals noticed how i wasn't reacting at all and they dropped their luggage's before asking me to sit down on the couch with them in a soft manner wich i don't see very often unless they want something from me.

"𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 ?!" I practically screamed trying to convince my brain that this "arranged marriage" with a girl all the way in Liyue was just a silly joke but my parents just looked at me with determination in their eyes while discarding my feeling completely like always, i was being forced to marry a complete stranger in 2 days and in the days before the wedding i was supposed to be travelling over to Liyue with barely any rest or time to even comprehend what's going on. I was pissed and rushed upstairs to my room, forget the cake. They did not deserve it and nor did they deserve me. My mother yelled at me from downstairs "𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝗱𝘆, 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻!" I felt completely defeated knowing that she was right. Even if we did argue it wouldn't change anything, the wedding's already been planned and the girls family are also expecting me to comply and marry their only daughter with no questions asked whatsoever. God i wonder if the girl im supposed to marry is also feeling the same as me, i just want to be swallowed up into a black hole at this point.. While i packed my bags as quickly as possible mother kept on yelling at me and telling me to be quicker as if i wasn't doing that right now, ꒰ 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦.. ꒱ i thought to myself as i went down stairs to see my parents eating my cake nonchalantly without even thinking to thank me for all of the work i put into it, at least i was able to move away from my unloving parents i guess..

I opened the front door expecting a 'good bye' or even just a simple 'good luck' but no, my father just complained about his back pain to my mother without realising that i was about to go all the way to Liyue alone. I stepped out of the house and just closed the same door wich i have been using as a child and up until now, i honestly saw this as the last time of me ever using this door since i never wanna come back to this cold place ever again. I contemplated on wether i should say goodbye to Sara seeing as she was my only friend in all of Mondstadt but after a quick second of thinking i remembered how she was only using me for my money so i just left seeing as there was no point in it anyway. 再见 Mondstadt, curse you for causing me nothing but hell all of these years..
