A/N- before we get started, any guesses to who the next person is? No peaking y'all alright.

----

Ashton Irwin was a friendly person. He knew everyone, easily fit in.

He wasn't always like this, he was an outcast, a black sheep, a freak. Now he had all the friends in the world but this was one person he was sure he'd never be able to be friends with.

Not after what he heard. Not after what he knew they would know after tonight.

He'd gone through the greatest lengths. That usb that he had clenched so hard in his fist, that had brought him to the first arena One Direction had performed in, was almost an instinctual habit. He kept forgetting that he wasn't holding it anymore. He'd practically swam an ocean and now here he was ten feet away from Selena Marie Gomez.

The next person on Zayn's list.

When Zayn mentioned the name, Ashton spat out the coffee he was drinking and it spilled across his blank notebook. He was supposed to be songwriting but obviously that hadn't been the case. He didn't even know her, let alone be able to get himself in the same room as her.

So he befriended someone who would.

Alexander DeLeon was a good friend of Ashton's. And of Camila Cabello who, coincidentally was throwing a party where Selena would be attending.

Ashton wasn't using them, he tried to convince himself. He liked them, they were his friends. But so was Zayn. Zayn was a friend in need, he's just being circumstantial that's all.

---

Selena eyed herself in the mirror and sighed, she tugged at her hair trying not to glare at the sweaty curls. After reapplying her mascara she took a deep breath so she could ready herself to be surrounded by whispers.

One half of Jelena.

Wasn't she seen with Zedd?

Taylor Swift's best friend.

She was always somebody's something. She was so tired of it. She hated the word Jelena. It made her cringe so hard.

She didn't want to be Justin's ex she just wanted to be Selena.

Once outside her eyes scanned the crowd for Camila, she needed to leave.

There was too many people there tonight. People from different aspects of fame. Not that she cared she was well known enough to blend into the crowd.

Then there was that boy.

She knew he was famous, in some band but for life she couldn't name it. Some thing with summer.

Secondary Summer was it?

Oh no wait, there was a five involved somewhere. Five Second Summer that's it, that's what it was she guessed. Whatever summer he was in, it was obvious he'd been trying to get her attention.

There had been too many close shaves with him for her to brush it off and right now his eyes were burning a hole onto her neck even though he was busy talking to someone. Selena quickly began weaving through the crowd until she spotted Camilla who was laughing at a joke Lauren had just said.

"Camilla! I've got to go, I have a shoot in the morning." Selena informed her, rolling her eyes at the mention on work. Camilla frowned.

"No way! You just got here!" She insisted. Selena forced a laugh.
