A/N: This is an alternate scenario that takes place in Chapter One of "I Will Love You." It depicts what would've happened between you and Herobrine had Malacoda never constructed his evil plan to interrupt the two of you. Just a heads up- it's a little kinky.

You're welcome. ;)

"Hello again, sweetheart."

You turned your head just in time to catch his glowing white gaze in the doorway. His clothes were slightly dirty since he had been gone for half the day, making small repairs around the house and procuring more food for the upcoming winter. He leaned against the wooden beam, his aqua shirt and deep blue jeans outlining his masculine features. He had allowed his dark brown hair to grow out a little, but his facial hair was well-kept as was his un-changing demeanor. Like you, his smile was timeless, and his heart was undeterred. The way he looked at you now was full of nothing but love and compassion, as though you were the most wonderful thing to ever cross his path. To you, he had the look of a strong husband, the most stunning, passionate man you could've ever dreamed of belonging to. To your children, Monte and Prysm, he looked like a father worth leaning on. But now that your children were practically grown, there was no need for either of you to stress out as much as you used to. No more fussing over bedtime stories or worrying about the house being set ablaze in the middle of the night. No more emotional outbursts, nightmares, or boo-boos to tend to. Now, the diamond necklace resting on your collarbone seemed to remind you that it was just you and him.

And you were sometimes a little embarrassed to admit you liked it that way.

"Are you alright? You seem a little troubled." Herobrine tilted his head. After a while, it was easy for him to read your body language. Whenever something was on your mind, there was usually a book in your hand to distract you from what was bothering you. Other times it meant you'd be drowning yourself in cookies or walks around the porch. Every now and again you'd feel sad thoughts crawl into your mind for a reason you couldn't pinpoint. All you did know is that you liked the comfort Herobrine provided for you every step of the journey despite your internal struggles. You needed someone to rely on. For the sake of yourself and for the sake of your children. "I'm fine, Hero. Just a little tired is all." You sighed and closed the book, placing it on the small shelf built into the nearby wall. Even though you were lying, he grinned at your words and chuckled, "Finally, something I can help you with." His flirtatious tone made your heart swell. You stood up from your spot and smiled back at him almost daringly, "Don't get any funny ideas."

"Too late," He approached you swiftly, wrapping his arms around your waist before burying his nose in your hair. You wrapped your arms around his neck in return, sighing happily as you felt his warmth blanket your body in a soft embrace. Even though he hadn't been to the nether in over a decade, he was still warmer than ever. He also had a specific scent that made you relax, like a combination of cinnamon and firewood. The way his arms trapped you made you feel a sense of relief because it reminded you that you didn't have to fight your battles alone. "Awe, did somebody miss me?" Herobrine whispered into your ear, his lips brushing against your neck briefly. You didn't have to respond verbally for him to understand you. It was only a matter of seconds before your thoughts were channeled within his own. And oh, how he loved the way your mind lit up when he spoke to you this way. He could tell by your soft, shy eyes and your escalating heartbeat that you were happy to see him. But upon realizing your curiosity, he felt obligated to reassure you.

"Monte is still in the pasture, he's gotten pretty good with a crossbow. Prysm said she was going to go hunting before the moon rises. You know how much she loves nature. But still, I can't help but worry about her sometimes. She gets her love of danger from you, but one day she's going to find out she's not invincible like I am." He sighed happily, hand gently stroking your long hair. It had grown a lot since you had moved to the far lands.
