23rd December:
I was just getting out of the shower when I had a phone call. I quickly ran to pick it up.
"Hello?"
"Hi, is this Y/N Y/LN?"
" Yea it is. May I ask who is calling?"
"Oh of course, so sorry! This is the Mclaren Technology Centre. We would like to book an appointment with you and Zak Brown."
"...."
Oh my fucking god is THE Mclaren team on the phone with me? Is this real? Why would they call me?
"Miss Y/LN? are you there?"
"..."
"Miss Y/LN?"
"Yes sorry, when would the meeting be?"
"On the fifth of January. Would you be interested in this meeting?"
"YES! Oh sorry that was a bit loud. Yes of course thank you so much!"
"Ok have a lovely Christmas and New year and we will see you on the fifth! Bye now."
"Bye, thank you so much!!"
I immediately jumped around on my bed celebrating. My sister Emma came running in wondering what was going on. I dragged her onto my bed with me and she celebrated with me.
About five minutes later we were exhausted and sat back down on the bed.
"So what exactly are we celebrating about?" Emma Said excitedly
"Ok you won't believe this! The Mclaren Tech centre just called me to book a meeting with THE Zak Brown of THE Mclaren team! Isn't this crazy!!!"
"Wow I'm so happy for you! When do you go?"
"Oh not until after New Years but I don't know if I can wait that long! I'm so excited!!"
A couple hours later we were baking brownies and watching the last races highlights so I could analyse how they drive.
"Hey what do you say we play a game for a bit?" Emma said while stuffing her face with brownies.
"I would love to but can't. I need to get some sleep otherwise I will not want to go to the club with you tomorrow night."
I walked upstairs, got changed, and went to sleep.
