Falling For The Sociopath

Chapter 1

Setting: As in the TV show, the first chapter is set after Bonnie has brought everyone back from the other side besides her and Damon. Damon has made it back and has told everyone about Bonnie and Kai. Elena & Damon are trying to get a message to Bonnie with Liv sending them to 1994.

"So just go over it with me again." I said as I looked at my brother. "Liv is gonna send you and Elena to this prison world or what ever you want to call it, in hopes that you guys can find Bonnie and get her out?" I asked taking a sip of bourbon.

"Give or take a few details, but yeah that's the main goal." my brother Damon replied.

"Liv is gonna give us 7 hours to find Bonnie and get her out." Elena replied .

"Are you sure that you don't want to go with us?" I glanced at Damon as he took a sip of his own bourbon.

Finishing my own glass of bourbon I walked around the counter of our house grabbing my jacket before replying to Damon, "I'm sure, the more people that go the more magic Liv will have to use for the spell. I'm gonna go and get some food, I'll see you guys when you get back with Bonnie in tow." I smiled at him before heading out of the door.

Thanks to the traveler's spell preventing magic entering Mistic Falls none of us have been able to get to our normal hangout, The Grill. Pulling into the parking lot of Scull Bar, I grab my stuff and turn my car off. Before getting out of my car, I notice a  person I've never seen walk past. He was dark-haired, maybe around 6 ft tall, not a bad looking guy. I watched as he walked into Scull Bar. I waited until he disappeared before walking into the bar. As I walked in, I saw Liv behind the bar working. "Hey, can I get a glass of bourbon?"

"Hey Tay, yeah of course." Liv replied as she poured my glass, I smiled while sitting down at the bar. Taking the glass from her, I heard a voice from behind me. Taking a small side glance I realized it was the guy who had walked past my car.

"How can I help you?" Liv asked as the guy sat down a few chairs down from me.

"One zima, please?" the guy replied.

"Are you gonna order something, or just gonna stare?" I heard Liv ask as I glanced over at her and the guy.

"Okay. Uh, how about a soda. Thanks Liv." The guy responded before she walked away.

"So I got to ask, what the hell is a zima?" I turned to ask.

"Seriously, you don't know what a zima is?" He asked as he turned my direction.

I found myself lost as I made eye contact with him. His blue eyes drawing me in, "if I knew what it was I wouldn't be asking now would I?"

"Fair point." he responded. I thought he was gonna say something else until Liv walked back up.

"Tay, I'm gonna go to the back I need to grab some inventory stuff. I'll be right back." Liv said as she quickly turned and went to the back.

"So you go by Tay.  Let me guess your name is Taylor." I chuckled before turning my attention back to the guy.

"Liv is actually the only one who calls me Tay." I answered, taking the last sip of my bourbon. Before cocking my head towards him.

"Gotcha, so what name does a pretty girl like you actually go by?" he smirked as he smiled.

"If you just know my name is Tatum. My two brothers and my friends call me Tate." Standing up I could tell he was watching me grab my things. "So what's your name? You know since you're so interested in mine."

Finishing his soda he chuckled before turning his attention back to me. "My name?" I nodded. "I'm Malachai, but you can call me Kai."

Little did I know that I had met someone I might regret. That person happened to be Kai Parker
