After getting Bo back, Ben decided to celebrate Ciara's first Mother's Day. They missed the actual day, but he still wanted to celebrate her.
Ben was the first one awake. He looked over and saw Ciara sound asleep. He checked on Bo in the bassinet, who was also still sleeping.
Ben went to the kitchen and started making breakfast. When breakfast was ready, he put everything on a tray and walked to the bedroom.
When Ben walked in, Ciara was waking up.
" Happy Mother's Day."
" Mmm, baby, Mother's Day was a few days ago."
" I know, but we didn't get a chance to celebrate."
Ben set the tray on her lap and sat next to her.
" Baby, this is very sweet."
" Eat before it gets cold.
As Ciara started to eat, Bo began to fuss.
" I've got him."
Ben picked Bo up and brought him to bed.
Ciara set her fork down and moved the tray so she could hold Bo.
" Hi, sweetheart, come here."
Ben passed Bo to Ciara and cuddled with them.
" This is all I need for Mother's Day," Ciara said as she looked down at her baby boy.
Ben smiled and kissed the side of her head.
" Why don't you take a nice relaxing bath, and I will watch, little man."
" He needs to be fed and changed."
" I will do it; this is your day to relax."
Ciara kissed Bo and passed him to Ben.
" You be good for daddy."
" We will be fine; enjoy your bath."
Ciara smiled as she watched them leave the room.
She walked into the bathroom, turned on the water, and waited for the tub to fill.
Ciara was enjoying her bath when she heard Bo crying. She waited a minute to see if Ben could calm him down.
Ben was pacing back and forth, trying to calm him down.
" Hey, little man, it's okay, daddy's here."
Ciara was still in the bath; she couldn't take the crying, so she got out.
Ciara grabbed her robe and walked out to the living room.
" I'm sorry, I tried everything, he won't stop."
" It's okay, come here, Bo. Come see Mommy."
Once Bo was in Ciara's arms, he started to calm down.
" Babe, you should be relaxing."
" Ben, it's fine."
" This is supposed to be your day."
" When I was in the hospital, all I could think about was, what if I never get to see him? What if I never get to hold him?"
" Any chance I get to hold him, I will take it."
Ben smiled as he watched Ciara rock Bo in her arms.
Once he settled, she placed him in the bassinet, and they watched him sleep for a while.
" So I was thinking? I would get us some Chinese Takeout for dinner."
" That sounds great."
Later in the night, Ben left to get dinner while Ciara fed Bo.
" I will be right back," Ben said as he kissed Ciara.
" Bye."
Ben shut the door, and Ciara sat on the couch and fed Bo.
" Who's ready to eat?"
" That was fast."
" I ordered before I left to pick it up."
" I just have to burp this little guy, then we can eat."
" These are for you," Ben said as he handed her flowers.
" Ben, they're beautiful."
" I'll take him. You can start eating."
Ciara handed Bo to Ben and started unpacking the food.
Bo let out a good burp and settled against Ben's shoulder.
Ciara put the flowers in a vase with water and grabbed a beer for Ben and water for her.
They sat at the table, Bo resting on Ben's shoulder while he ate.
After dinner, they got Bo ready for bed, put him down, and sat on the couch kissing and cuddling.
Ben pulled out a box and handed it to Ciara, " Happy Mother's Day."
" Oh, Ben! Are you kidding me? Thank you."
" Do not thank me. Thank Bo."
" Mm. Well, he must've saved his allowance up for this." Ciara said as she opened the box.
Inside was a beautiful silver necklace with Mama on it.
" Ben, I love this."
" Yeah."
" It's beautiful," Ciara said as she kissed him.
Ciara took the necklace out of the box.
" Here, let me," Ben said as he clipped the necklace on her.
" It's perfect," Ciara said as she ran her fingers over it.
" One more thing," Ben said as he stood up. He grabbed the fortune cookies off the table.
" We have to have dessert," Ben said as he handed her a cookie.
Ciara laughed and took the cookie from him.
She cracked it open and read what it said.
"Love isn't something you find. Love is something that finds you."
" What does yours say?"
Ben cracked it open and said.
"You have a secret admirer."
" Really, I wonder who that could be."
" I don't care who it is; all I want is you."
" Me too."
Ben leaned in and kissed Ciara.
" This has been an amazing day. Thank you for all of this."
" Anything for you, babe."
" I love you."
" I love you too."
They spent the rest of the night kissing and cuddling before Bo woke up for his next feed.
