Hey, I am Reia Suzuki, I originally lived in Japan but I moved to the UK when I was 10. Today I am going to tell you how I became so invested in the internet. Let's get started!
When I was young I didn't had any devices near me so I didn't know the experience of internet and online back then. My whole family loved me and my grades went high, even though I was bullied for it. I even found love at a young age. But sadly I had to move since my parents moved to the UK before I had a chance to go there. I was moved to a new school and everything was fine! I had friends, I had somewhat good grades, until my grandpa decided to buy me a smartphone.
I didn't know how to use it, so I was only using it for communication, but then as I found out how the internet works I was invested in it and went to what was supposed to be a teenage phase. And when I moved to the UK I became obsessed with the internet and online so when I turned 12 I started to communicate with strangers.
My parents didn't approve so they took away my phone and went on a rampage. Since then I didn't have a phone nor anything accessible to internet when I lost my eyesight and they thought it was because of the phone while actually it wasn't from it because my eyesight went worser even when I didn't had a phone or anything so I took it as something genetic.
Anyway, I am 15 and last year I had access to a school laptop, my dad wasn't approving of this so I tried to stay away from it so when his laptop is fixed he can give it to me and use it, but of course he will not. Until I found a website where it changed my whole life...
